I recently finished Kingdom Come Deliverance (1) and what a wonderful game it was :’) I reeeeally loved it, it’s very endearing 💛 kcd1 is very good and I know kcd2 is even better (I also started playing it right after that and I’m really enjoying it so far <333), but I really wanted to show some love for the first one because it definitely deserves it !!!
(Also I immortalized the moment I rolled all 1s at farkle because that really doesn’t happen very often, my jaw literally dropped)
🪑hiii here’s another school assignment, we had to draw a room with various furnitures (using the MAD (Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris) website for references, that you can see on the second picture), to portray a character without drawing them directly (like the stuff in the room had to make you understand who that character is, and I went for some sort of mountain wizard or something)
I initially wanted to color it entirely but it’s just too much and I don’t have the patience hahaha so here have the lineart at least. I quite enjoyed drawing it, I really like how there’s a lot going on
A NOTE FROM THE FRIDGE - "You’ll find the filament memory with the off-site copy in the frozen ice cream maker."
YOU - "Remind me again — What’s a filament memory?"
KIM KITSURAGI - "It belongs inside a radio computer, storing its memory. It’s like a tape — you listen to disco tapes, right? It’s like one of your disco tapes, only for a computer."
INTERFACING [Easy: Success] - It’s like the *production schedule* you found, only this one’s an *off site copy*.
first time trying to animate lip sync, it was a bit scary but actually very very fun yayyy
This assignment was for the very dreaded genAI class……. (We’re currently trying to do something about it because we think it’s just really stupid to have to learn this in an illustration program, for many reasons) but thankfully using genAI wasn’t mandatory phew ,,, we just had to make a teaser for a sci-fi series (could also be comics, animation, etc) so here’s mine, the story is still kinda rough, but you can find a synopsis and an animatic further below (I also made the music hehe)!! And it’s pretty obvious but I’ll say it again just in case: I didn’t use any AI for this project, as I’m FIRLMY OPPOSED to generative AI because of all the moral and ecological issues it carries
The main inspiration for visuals is the Futurist Movement (mostly paintings from early 20th c. that center around speed)
And I used the tomodachi life mii maker to help me with the character designs haha
ok here’s the synopsis:
"In a near future, it gets noticed that time is accelerating exponentially; everything has to happen faster and faster, and people have less and less time.
The main character (“Character A” for now, I still haven’t found good names haha) is a generally anxious person, and the time situation isn’t helping, he has a hard time keeping up with the pace. His dream is to become a painter, but it’s an activity that takes a lot of time, and as time speeds up, his dream becomes increasingly impossible to achieve. He ends up feeling extremely unhappy and is about to give up everything.
He then meets “Character B”, who doesn’t seem to be affected by time. “B” explains that it isn’t time itself that is speeding up, but our perception of time. It’s humans themselves — always wanting more, always wanting it faster — who have triggered this phenomenon. Once “B” understood this, he managed to slow down his perception by living life at his own pace. It’s still sometimes difficult to manage his own perception while the rest of society keeps speeding up, but the fact that he’s almost entirely self-sufficient works out pretty well. “B” also feels very lonely and is very happy to have found a friend with whom to share his pace of life."
another school assignment from a bit ago, back when we were only at the first semester (I just kinda forgot to post a bunch of the things we made oops)
(English translation of the dialogues at the end of the description under the cut☟)
Not my fave thing I did this year, but one of my classmates insisted I should post it so there u go haha 🤲🏽 the assignment was to make a short comic of 8 pages with a story containing some sort of failed trip, the protagonist meeting someone that will lead to the ending and finally an ending that could loop back to the beginning to make a new story (I think, I don’t remember the instructions that well since it was from some time ago)
English translation:
Cover page : "★ MISSING ★"
p.1 : | 🐈⬛"I don’t like these cowboy movies… they’re scary…" |
p.3 : | 🐈⬛"…oh no!" | 🐈⬛"…it’s just like those cowboys on tv!!" | 🐈⬛"How am I going to get out of this…" | 🐈⬛"I hope that guy doesn’t have a pow-pow…" | 🐈⬛"You don’t have a pow-pow, do you..?" | 🐈⬛"No pow-pow either…" | 🐈⬛"This place isn’t as scary as it looks on tv, after all…" |
p.4 : | 🐈⬛"…It’s actually pretty cool! I could get used to this cowboy life…" | 🐈⬛"I even have my own wanted poster like a real wild west criminal! So cool" | 🐴"haha I think you might need glasses too! This is not a wanted poster but a missing poster, someone has lost you apparently." |
p.5 : | 🐈⬛"I was so caught up in my cowboy thing that I forgot about my human… I need to go home, but it’s so far away…" | 🐴"I can run really fast (besides being able to read), maybe I could help you get home?" | 🐈⬛"You’d do that for me!?" | 🐴"Only if you give me your hat in exchange!" | 🐈⬛"I can even give you the boots too <3" |
p.6 : | 🐈⬛" I don’t like these pirate movies… they’re scary…" |
Short kingdom come deliverance farkle animation because I’ve been playing kcd a lot lately and I really really like playing the dice game
Made during a 5-day animation workshop at school with Alexandre Siqueira as a guest artist!! I wanted to practice animating on paper, which I’ve only done once before, so I learned a lot! Finishing it in 5 days was definitely a challenge, but I had a lot of fun, animation is so awesome and wonderful
(Sound effects and music credits: Warhorse Studios, Jan Valta, Adam Sporka (music); Vojta Nedvěd (sound director))
"Faut que j’aille me promener plus souvent" (which means "I have to go for a walk more often", full translation of the three pages a bit further down)
The assignment was to use photo references that we took ourselves, no refs from the internet was allowed, and the narrative had to be about some kind of list (in a broad sense). So I thought about when I go take a walk and I see very beautiful landscapes and all I think about is all the things I should be doing instead from my to-do list (well at first, just like in my comic the things from the list get less and less "urgent" and I end up feeling a bit more serene at the end of it) so that’s what I wanted to portray here yayy 🌿
so english translation:
Page 1:
I have to read my emails… and reply to my messages too…
I have to pay my insurance bill and sort through my paperwork…
I have to practice driving and get my license someday…
I have to clean my bedroom window… and maybe vacuum…
I have to finish sorting through these boxes that are laying around…
I have to give away the clothes I don’t wear anymore…
Page 2:
I have to go to the gym, it’s been a month since I’ve been…
I really have to get my driver’s license…
I have to add my friends’ birthdays to my calendar…
I have to water my plants…
I have to do my laundry…
I have to make some jam with the frozen cherries…
Page 3:
I have to read more comics…
I have to go for a walk more often.
Oh and it’s color pencils !!!!! It was a great practice for drawing landscapes too
