I think it says a lot about the writing that I just watched some of my favourite characters from ‘Game of Thrones’ die and/or have their character arc butchered and I just don’t give a f**k…

so like what was the point of spending 7 seasons building up daenerys’ character for this episode to happen????? she spent the whole damn show saving people and breaking chains all for the writers to do this????? she just murdered so many innocent people!! the people she spent the whole show talking about saving!!! im so pissed!!

Like I think the thing that people don’t get is that I’m fine with villainous characters I just personally think the lead up is bullshit for mad Dany. I’d even be fine with a mad Dany if I thought that made sense story wise. I can totally see her going insane, it just doesn’t work the way D&D have set it up.

Like with Joffrey and Roose, there was actually build up more than just hints or stories based off of their family history and we saw the aftermath of them being evil. They did what they did for logical in character and story relevant reasons.

It wasn’t something meant to be a plot twist in the final arc of the final season.

If Dany really just wanted to kill Cersei, she could have just flown right over to the Keep where Cersei is literally standing at a window and do it. But, she didn’t. She’s obliterating an entire city full of innocent people and I’m not here for that! Nah! Miss me with that, Dragon Lady!

you know what…imma blame good old george r.r. martin for this. It’s become blatantly clear that the reason this show was able to thrive in earlier seasons was because it relied heavily on the source material; as soon as the writers were on their own, the quality decreased dramatically even with his input. Had he finished the books long ago…maybe…just maybe they wouldn’t be serving us this dribble of a season

They literally threw all her S1-S7 development in a trash can. They not only played her “mad king’s daughter” card, but first stripped her of everything dear to her to somehow “justify” her rage.

I can’t wait for the backlash crushing on their heads.
