Packed My Bags.

It’s official, I’ve move to tarnishedpeonies. I made the mistake of having this as my primary on Tumblr, and it’s felt stifling since the real world and what happens in it has escalated. I’ve needed somewhere I can express myself on my primary without it being ‘out of character’, and will have that moving forward.

Will I ever RP from a side blog? Yeah, once I’ve figured out what I want to play. WoW lost it’s flavor for me, and the pandemic has been a critical hit to my creativity. I’m all ears, just lost and trying to get my bearings back.

The amount of work in these blogs is immense, so I’m leaving them for archival purposes, but won’t be responding here.

My mutuals are amazing and the only reason I’ve tried logging in occasionally to chase the ghost of inspiration. If we never speak again, I love and will miss you, and wish you all the best.

Death Knights who have emotions should not exist. The very concept of the Death Knight is as a remorseless, hate-fueled undead muscle god that becomes more uncomfortable and irritated the longer they go without killing and indulging in bloodshed. Don't be surprised when a Death Knight is an asshole, they're made to be one. Also don't be surprised when a Death Knight kicks your ass, they were designed to.

hate is an emotion. discomfort is an emotion. irritation is an emotion.  to indulge is to give into a desire (desire is an emotion). assholes by definition are being emotional – they’re being mean.

In Legion there is a Death Knight NPC who wants to talk to you all day about her grandchildren. Because she loves them.

There’s an entire questline in Wrath regarding Thassarian and saving his sister, because he loves her and fears for her safety.

Sure, DKs use all sorts of negative emotions in their arsenal and yeah, they’re designed to be pretty sadistic and murderous. But in case you didn’t realize from the DK starting area and really anything else regarding them, once they’re out of Arthas’ enthrallment they return largely to the people they were. Just… kinda dead and with a bloodthirsty edge.

They’re still people. They have their minds. They’re not just walking corpses.
