Simon glances out the window once more before slowly shaking his head. This was the first time anything like this had happened in this building- it was unknown to him when they’d have light or even heat again. He looks to her, the shadowy room hiding her expression from him once more.
”I don’t know. I’ll go check with the building’s office." Simon offers with a nod, walking towards the single elevator entrance to the penthouse. He presses the button repeatedly with no result. Already the temperature was sinking closer to the one of the outside storm as he returns to her room.
”Uh…. We’re stuck…”
Her head bobbed up and down in agreement with his decision, praying that the front desk would be able to give them a definite answer on when everything would be stable again. This was a first, at least. A big storm coming through and the brunette had a proper place to hide. And she wasn't alone. A bigger plus. Legs shaking, she forced herself upwards in attempts to follow Simon, curiosity bubbling in her gut when she realized what he'd just said. "Well duh. Power is out. Why would they work?" A soft laugh filled the room, the sheer idiocy in his actions being almost adorable to an extent. 'I guess he can be human sometimes. I should be nicer to him...' All the sounds from outside merely sounded like heavy rain, no thunder to be heard for miles. Or at least, she'd thought. "Hey Simon...? Than-" Nope. No chance. The largest clap of thunder that night boomed overheard, it's magnitude shaking the building enough to cause Kuroko to drop to the ground, hands clasped over her ears.
