good evening. this is a sad post for me to write, and i truly apologize in advance. today has been long and hard, and i’ve come to the decision to close whistledown for the time being. its a very personal matter, and i’d rather not place negativity on this blog, but i can’t continue admining the main with everything going on. i just don’t have time, nor the energy at this point. i’m so sorry to the muns who have been waiting patiently as well as any muns who were thinking of applying. i hope to come back, but at this time i think it’s time to close whistledown. i hope to see you all soon.

Is there going to be characters in this that have already been through this process? Say the parents of a character? Or just solely people that have never been through and in the spotlight of the news letter?

oh no, you absolutely could play a parent as well ! it’s not so much about the courting season anymore, but the gossip around town. while it’s technically still apart of the tradition, that’s not the main focus of the group.

so not all countries have a monarchy & i was wondering if we were going by it realistically, or could we choose to be, for example, a prince/princess of a country that doesn't have one?

we’re going to be keeping it realistically. however, don’t feel that should keep you from looking through what other countries consider high up in their government. if you’d like i could give some countries that do have monarchies, as well as some other diplomatic titles from countries that don’t.

I'm torn between applying for a younger or older muse, which would fit better here? Or is there an age range for some of the wcs?

honestly you could do both if you were ever so inclined, but i don’t believe there is unless it’s specified a certain age rage. but with siblings i would keep it close, just to make sure. but i can ask and keep you updated just to be sure.

i’m just... all of these women mean so much to me, but i am basic and the notebook will forever and always be in my heart ( as will mean girls ) so rachel mcadams has my vote ! however, i would be pleased with any of these ladies.

what kind of occupations / titles would you like to see?

a duke / duchess, marquess / marchioness, earl / countess, viscount / viscountess, lord / lady, baron / baroness, or life peer are to name the top titles one can have in england. however, there are still princess and princes of other countries that could be taken ! as well as the fact you could pick up people who only claim to have those titles, perhaps a seamstress’ child who wanted to live a life of privilege and has lied their way to the top. it’s all up to you, really. i want you to have creative liberty over your characters. if anyone would like me to make a list of who is what, i could definitely do that.

my heart, i love these girls. legacies was something i recently was introduced to, so this is a tough one. i’d have to say, danielle. and i believe she could fit well as violet or alexander’s sibling !
