I’m not sure if this is a spoiler, but is Connie under the impression she’s just white,but slightly different?

Basically, yes! Neither Connie or Pearl (or Amethyst for that matter) have any idea that gem-human hybrids or ‘organic-hybrids’ are a thing. Pearl, and by extension Connie are under the impression that some sort of rejuvenator-like effect happened to her while she was poofed.

Pretty much, Connie thinks she’s White but with wiped memories.

Correct me of I'm wrong but...White reformed as an organic. Meaning she didn't fall in love with a human and made a baby? Due to spoiler reasons why this is the way it is, I know you can't really answer that but I cannot wait to find out! Loving your AU and you're really inspiring me...💗💞

Pearl’s weapon is an umbrella, that’s so cute! What inspired you to choose that?

Aah thank you! As for the process, I had several thoughts.

I designed her umbrella before we saw her canon ribbon wand, so the design is obviously going to differ- but I’m lucky enough to have an in-canon explanation for this! In the show we are told that her ribbon wand was a gift to her from Pink and from this we can assume her original weapon was customised.

As for the reasons I chose this particular design! I’m going to list them because that makes my adhd brain happy.

1. I needed something to block the corruption blast, and the shape and size of an umbrella is similar to that of a shield.

2. I was quite obviously inspired by Rainbow Quartz! I thought the way they pulled off his umbrella was very aesthetically pleasing, even if Pearl can’t ride hers like a broom.

3. It fit with Pearl’s personality (parasols and such) as well as fitting into the same shape and size category as a spear.

If you’re White Diamond’s current form, then why do you go by the name Connie instead of White Diamond?

This is actually a really good question! I’m going to answer it rather than Connie because I feel like I can explain it better without the limitation of the characters knowledge.

Now, White took eons to reform (the circumstances under which she poofed shall not yet be revealed yet due to spoilers), in part due to her being a diamond and also due to her, lets be honest, massive ego. For reasons I can’t explain how or why just yet due to spoilers (again), when White finally reformed she reformed with an organic component.

You’ll notice I never refer to Connie as part-human, this is for a reason.

So, we have Pearl and Amethyst face to face with their newly reformed dictator before them as a helpless organic child. This is quite obviously confusing- and since these circumstances are new to the gems as well, they (mostly Pearl) assume some sort of Rejuvenator-like effect was activated by the extended sleep and somehow corrupted by the organic planet.

Thus, being unable to bring herself to shatter this helpless creature, Pearl decides to try and raise it- maybe she can fix White? She just doesn’t have to know about gem stuff and there won’t be a chance of her reverting back to her old form? Right?

It’s worked so far- who’s to say?

What is Connie's dance style?Did she figured it out or she still needs to find it?

Since Connie doesn’t know about fusion, she doesn’t have a specific dance she gravitates to when fusing at the moment, since she’s never done it.

However! I’ve had her dance style set in stone (so to speak) since I drew her design. Now, White and Volleyball have very 1920 style clothing and designs in general, and their black and white designs and particularly White’s eyes have always made me think of old fashioned cartoons.

This also fits with White!Connie’s style and personality, so in general when dancing and eventually fusing, her dance style is early 1900s swing!
