Above: did some work assembling my paper mache giraffe... my first time working on a project like this, so I thought I could get more done today, but the glue took a little longer to set than I imagined. It's also having a bit of trouble standing, but I am hoping I can fix that when I start adding paper mache on top of the skeleton. In this photo, to make it stand, I had to put a bottle cap on its butt to act as a counterweight against it's neck.
Today was a flashcard day for Spanish and Japanese. I worked on a Neri's beginner spanish deck for a bit today, and for Japanese I worked on my personal anki kanji deck. I don't feel like I made a notable progress today, but I know it's because I'm so swamped on reviews that I really only went thru reviews, no new cards.
For reading, I got thru chapter 4 of the Black Jacobins. I feel I should maybe relisten to this chapter because this chapter seemed extremely important. I made better progress on House of Leaves... I forced myself thru the entirety of the Whalestoe letters. Tomorrow, I return to reading the book proper rather than one of its appendices.
My walk was extremely short today--just 1700 steps. I was bad and I didn't wear my compression socks so that's what I get. At least I did something rather than nothing, I suppose.
Dealing with exhaustion... was not a productive day at work. I also feel that my raid performance was a bit lacking. Ran a meeting for my local socialist org today, and also will have to do another meeting tomorrow... Somewhat scattered during that meeting as well.
