"I-I wasn't sick or anything, really! I just had some, uh, stuff to deal with, heheh. Why I haven't been, uh..."
"Out of my room or anything."
"I’m nineteen, thanks. No need to be so rude. I wasn’t talking to you, anyway."
❰♕❱ — - ❝ That’s the thing about speaking out loud. Other people can hear. I’m just quite opinionated. ❞
"I hear people talking to themselves here all the time, but I don't butt in. Well, leave me alone. This doesn't involve you."
"Personally I don’t see the big deal about kissin’ people."
"I mean, Pokemon battlin’ is important. Like, the most important thing, probably. Maybe even more than breathing. It’s that important.”
"I-I was just curious. But of course Pokemon battling is a bigger deal!"
"Food is only a big deal because we need food to live and we need to live to battle. It's all about Pokemon!"
"H-Hey! Don’t make fun of me. I just happened to have battling on my mind more often than kissing."
❰♕❱ — - ❝ How old are you, anyways? You sound like a curious pre-teen. ❞
"I'm nineteen, thanks. No need to be so rude. I wasn't talking to you, anyway."
"Sometimes, I wonder what it’s like to make out with someone. It seems like everyone around here is just slober sharing as of late."
"Trust me, it ain’t nothin’ special. I can show ya if y’really curious though."
"Oh, I mean, I've kissed people before! Just, uh, it didn't escalate to a full blown make out or anything. Y'know, like the hardcore stuff."
"Sometimes, I wonder what it’s like to make out with someone. It seems like everyone around here is just slober sharing as of late."
❰♕❱ — - ❝ That’s pathetic. ❞

Evolving into an Audino ( Venus and Touko )
"Ahhhhh!" It was a good day to do nothing. Of course there were a lot of more productive things Venus could have spent her free time doing, like training her Pokémon, or practicing her torture skills, or working on her image, or doing Proton’s paperwork, but for now Venus thought maybe the coolest thing she could do would be not to give a cripitty crap about any of that.
But where was she going to do her nothing? That seemed to be the question of the day. Her room was plain boring, outside was too ethical, and hanging around in the hallways was liable to get a person like her pulled aside by one of her bosses to do something like work. Venus wasn’t having any of that, so for now she slipped into the break room and hoped she’d find someone to help her figure out what kind of nothing she wanted to do today.
She looked around, and she had to say, this looked like a pretty damn dull crowd. Everyone was being so bored and lazy. Which was… taking the whole “doing nothing” thing waaay more literally than Venus was up for. Honestly, she was about two and a half seconds from ollie-ing the fuck outta there, but a sigh caught her attention first.
Venus tilted her head, blinking at the girl who was just starting to lose herself in thought. A smile curled up onto Venus’ face. She recognized that expression, that position, the whole bit. Someone was thinking about a special someone! Ooooh, this was just too good!
Having found something too interesting to pass up, Venus tip-toe skipped her way over to the couch. The stranger looked up at her before Venus had a good chance to wave at her, but she did it anyway. It was always polite to greet people.
“My spot?” Venus pointed at herself, looking around to confirm that she was the only reasonable person she could have been speaking to. “Oh! Nonono. I don’t have a seat. I’m not that picky.” She waved dismissively, then taking a seat slightly too close to the girl to be a stranger. Not that she was quite invading her personal space… she just wasn’t being shy about it. “I came over to meet you! I saw that look on your face and I thought, ‘huh. Venus, I recognize that face! Somebody’s in love! Gotta go help a girl in love.’ Isn’t that right?”
Touko didn't mind the other girl sitting so close to her, not knowing the meaning personal space when it came to her circle of friends from back home (and not to count all of the locker room shenanigans her and Bianca had indulged in together way back when), and merely blinked at what the other said.
She blushed at the realization of her words and quickly shook her head. "No, no," She tried to insist. "I'm not, uh..." Her voice trailed off as she quickly took a glance around them as to make sure no possible eavesdroppers were about to hear what she was about to say. "Okay, maybe there is someone that I like, but, he's been my best friend forever so it would be totally awkward if he knew."
She wasn't completely sure why she was even admitting it to this girl--Venus, was it?--but she blushed a bit to herself at the confession.
"Thanks for the offer, but, uh, y'know, I don't think there's any helping this. I mean, I doubt he'll ever see me that way and I don't know how I actually feel about relationships in general. Never thought about it before." She shrugged and bit her lip a little anxiously and let out a small laugh. "Oh well, hahaha."
Evolving into an Audino ( Venus and Touko )
She'd tried to not make it overly obvious, mostly because she hadn't come to terms with it herself just how much a certain sweet talking brunette meant to her. He'd been there for her after she was nearly killed by a masked assailant and most recently had helped her and the baby Lapras make their escape from that dark cave where they'd chosen to go exploring.
There were a few people who were near and dear to her heart, even though she made new friends just as easily, and she'd realized recently that perhaps the person she felt the most for was Blair. But how did she feel close to him? As a friend? No, more than that. As a soul mate? That was too mushy. As a boyfrien...no, still too mushy. And Touko didn't do mushy, because that was too girly and she didn't exactly pride herself on trying to be the most feminine trainer. She liked being strong and a free spirit.
Touko sighed to herself as she sat on the couch of the breakroom, elbows on her knees and hands on the sides of her face as she sat there in thought.
She didn't know why this was bugging her all of a sudden, because as it was right now romantic relationships should've been the last thing from her mind.
Someone approached her from the side, a grunt that she hadn't the pleasure of meeting before. "Oh, uh, am I in your spot or something?"
Champion Chat | Green and Touko
Green was regretting this already. The girl, her name was apparently Touko, seemed like a nice one. But he wasn’t supposed to be the one sitting here. She was from some region far away, Unova or what it was called, and didn’t know that his reign of the League lasted for nothing more than a day. Less than a day. And she, apparently, was like Red. Red was supposed to be the one sitting here. Not that he’d be able to answer all the questions by talking like Green could, but he’d at least know what to say. He wouldn’t be lying for something this stupid. "Sure…" He replied as she offered him one of the ice cream sandwiches. It had been a long time since he had one of those. At least he could pretend he was a slow shewer to avoid answering her questions right away. Get some time to think. Answer as good as he could without her finding out the truth without lying.
"That’s true." He said, staring out into distance, somewhere at the horizon."Kanto and Johto have always been some sort of sibling-regions. Sharing Champion is probably the sign of some kind of… well, unity. But I’ve only visited Johto once, as far as I can remember. Since Kanto is my home." Taking his first bite, Green did his best not to look troubled. Why didn’t he just tell her the truth? That’d be much easier. There was probably something about how happy she seemed to find someone else who was able to understand her. He didn’t want to take that feeling away. There was something about her that reminded him a lot of Blue as well. I’m a real idiot, he thought to himself. Idiot.
"I can’t say being Champion was what I was meant to do. I overworked myself to come there, hurting both the people around me, my pokémon, and well… myself. If you knew what kind of guy I was back then you’d understand." He muttered. "So no one was very proud of me. Not as proud as I wanted them to be. I think… being Champion is overrated. It’s cool, yeah, sure, but kids all over the world dreaming of becoming that one day… most of them would probably be disappointed. It’s a lot of pressure. One mistake and you’re gone."
"Overrated? That's for sure!"
Touko laughed a little and took a bite of her own ice cream sandwich. She absentmindedly kicked her feet back and forth from the edge of the roof. It felt nice, having another champion around to talk to. She hadn't had anyone else up to this point to really talk about all of the negatives of being champion. She didn't want to come off as ungrateful to anyone, with it being such a sought after position, and she made it a point to avoid speaking about it around Blair as much as possible. A part of her still felt almost guilty for even attaining championship.
"What got me was that once you become champion, you're expected to just sit and wait for challengers. I'm not really a sitting kind of person. And then all those TV interviews..." She shook her head. "I decided to give it all up after a while. I wanted to see my friends and to look for someone that I had unfinished business with. I felt really cut off from the world, being champion. There's that saying about it being lonely at the top. So it feels more like a burden, being the champion...but it's one that someone has to take up, so it might as well be someone that enjoys it."
She laughed nervously. "Anyway! So, how'd you end up here? If you don't mind me asking, I mean?"
((Yes, friends, hello, I am back! I just awoke from a power nap and Anime Boston was amazing! c: I will post pics of my gets and other things when I get home tomorrow, though, since I left most of my stuff in Falkner's car~
I ALREADY CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR!
And to go conning with you other lovely peoples because cons with friends are the best! c:
I shall work on replies for both Morty and Touko now~))
Champion Chat | Green and Touko
"The days here in Kanto seem a lot shorter for some reason." Touko took a bite of the half unwrapped ice cream sandwich in her hand as she sat with one of the newer recruits on the roof of HQ. Luckily she had managed to buy an entire box of these frozen treats when she’d went into town, and hid them behind bags of unidentifiable meat in the freezer. Still, edible food in the Team Rocket base had a habit of disappearing, so it was best to take advantage of having it while it was still available.
She offered one to Green, who was sitting beside her. According to what she’d heard, he was a former champion, too, only he wasn’t far away from his home region. She hadn’t gotten the chance to befriend many new faces, so she took the opportunity to introduce herself and ask him to hang out. “Here, help me eat these~”
She thoughtfully swung her legs over the edge of the roof, leaning back to get a better look at the pink tinted sky. “So, you were the champion of Kanto and Johto, right? Since they only have one, or something like that? What was it like here?~”
Blue didn’t manage to reply, but she would have to admit that she was nervous, simply because there was a girl on the other side of the snack. But a statement was a statement, so as fast as Touko seemed ready to start, Blue did her best to move forward as fast as possible. When they were close enough for the last piece, she didn’t hesitate to give the other brunette a smooch while trying to keep the remaining pocky for herself and take the victory.
Taken off guard by the sudden lip to lip contact, Touko blinked for a moment before realizing, oh, this is a kissing game!
But it was still a game nonetheless and she didn't want to lose. She'd kissed a girl before, during that sleepover with Bianca all those years ago, so this shouldn't be too difficult. Taking a final bite of what little pocky was left, she closed her eyes and moved forward to kiss back.
Lyra walked up, dressed as a Stantler and holding a harpoon. "... You... have a stupid hat? Holy Moltres, I'm bad at this."
"My hat? Well, I wear my Rocket one sometimes."
"Better? I'd rather not get in trouble, so please don't tell anyone!"
surface-
"You seem to get the rules already. The one take the last piece wins." Blue muffled, and put the pocky in her mouth. "Alffight."
"Bffut I ffon’t shoff anffy merffcy."
"Alright, you're on!" Touko smiles, suddenly complacent with her competitive side. She catches on and puts her mouth on the opposite end of the stick and begins munching on it.
"If it’s a game and involves food being eaten, sounds like fun!~"
"Yooooou know what?"
"The pocky game actually involves sharing one, so instead, I’ll give you a bunch for free that you can eat all by yourself! I’m sure you’ll like that better! The pocky is reaaaally good!"
"That sounds good and all, but wouldn't playing the game be more fun?~"
"Sharing one doesn't sound so bad! Half and half, right? Do we joust each other over it?"
