View-Master Reel One Bambi and His Friends Deep in a forest thicket one spring, a baby deer was born. Thumper, the rabbit, saw him first and summoned all the forest folk. They knew the little fawn would some day be the “Prince of the Forest.” “His name is Bambi.” his mother told them.

View-Master Reel Two Wintertime in the Forest As soon as Bambi learned to walk, he made friends in the forest. Then winter came; snow covered the ground, and the pond froze over. Many of Bambi’s friends went to sleep.

View-Master Reel Three The Great Prince When Bambi’s friends awoke in the spring, they played in pairs, and couldn’t play with him. Bambi was alone and sad until he met Faline and fell in love. Then Bambi battled the fierce stag, Ronno, to become “The Great Prince.”

Poor Simba is tryna pull an Alex the Lion on a tasty-looking fawn, only to be lectured by a white whiney nerd with PETA propaganda. 

And man… You know where it’s aching. Well, not a king, but three “soon-to-be-one” of them. Little do they know is that if Simba does end up eating Bambi, all of them will simply vanish into oblivion. Because we all know that Bambi, is the source of the universe, and time itself.

I saw all these posts yesterday saying it was the "80th Anniversary" of the Disney film "Bambi," when in actuality, its Hollywood premiere – the one that really mattered in the movie business at the time – was October 29, 1942. So, that is when Yours Truly will be celebrating Bambi's 80th, and not before!
