Sometimes I wonder how interesting the dynamics of Rosekiller would be if they were in "The Summer Hikaru Died"

ok but would evan be hikaru and barty be yoshiki or would it be mire fun if it was the other way around

I think it would be interesting if Evan were Hikaru, especially because the real Evan is dead 😵

Now seriously, I think the grief and passion for a monster that develops fits very well with Barty's personality, the refusal to let Evan go. Especially the analogy, which applies to both sides, about internalized homophobia.
