happy make a terrible comic day. i decided to try making a comic using an inkwell pen for the first time with no sketch on a subject that's boring to everyone except me
actually fucking disgusting that glasses cost any money like if you actually think about it for more than a few seconds it is so unconscionably inhumane. this goes for things like insulin and mobility aids and hearing aids too ofc but fuck man, fucking glasses? the thing you need to fucking see? its genuinely sickening and inhumanly evil that those cost ANYTHING.
reblog to give yourself a large fucking tail

another thing in-bewteen commissions i thought id share. a lot of my commission work requires me to replicate references as 1:1 as possible so i thought i could use the practice. decided to remake one of my favorite founders designs (which belong to @the-meme-monarch). they have a couple different other outfits that are not shown here
below the cut is a couple photos me and my friend took for fun while we were testing the rigs in vrchat
Also honestly my take from seeing both the pro Endo and anti Endo side as a Singlet is. The pro Endo people genuinely seem like nicer and more healthy people to be around. So many traumagenic blogs I follow thought they were endogenic and learnt they weren’t from using the endogenic label for a while and from getting the support of endo plurals. Like.
Looking at it is ‘well this side seems to always be shittalking a group of people, gatekeeping resources, fakeclaiming everyone, sending hate in the positive tags to hurt someone, sending gore in DMs/asks/posts to people vs….. this side who talks about both the positives and negatives of being plural, a side who’s supportive of anyone questioning and doesn’t push them into either label, a side who’s nice to singlets asking genuine questions or for advice….’
And it’s like. Wow I wonder which side id rather be on. Huh
yeah no we ourselves are traumagenic entirely that's how the whole system operates. so we should allegedly feel "supported" by the vocally anti-endo community but we just don't. i won't go so far as to say everyone who feels this way is going out of their way to hurt people but the message has been clear to me that if you don't 1. believe systems are cursed by a disgusting evil brain virus only doctors can fix (which is an ableist thing to believe about CDDs in general) or 2. believe systems that don't consider themselves to be "caused" by any particular adverse event or experience are lying or misguided about their own identities, a lot of people consider you inherently an opponent of traumagenic systems regardless of who you are
it's also worth noting that we consider ourselves to be part of the Plural community rather than the CDD community for this reason too, as we've found more connection in the broader scope of people
i won't go into specifics, but the rhetoric many anti-endo spaces parrot is what caused us to, for 4 whole years, entirely ignore all signs that we were a system. we were told it wasn't possible for us to be one because if we were we'd have this specific set of traits, or that specific set of traumas, or feel this specific way about other systems. this resulted in one of the worst periods of our life as we struggled with both knowing eachother were there and not having any language or feeling entitled even to research it. obviously things are much better now, but we know firsthand the trouble these strict guidelines cause for systems
all in all, it's just a mess. a recent one, at that, seeing as older communities hardly even made a distinction (surprisingly or unsurprisingly, it wasn't deemed particularly necessary to divvy support by what type of system you were). i hope we can work past it collectively soon

well, her* writing but you get it
Magical girl transformation where I look exactly the same by the end except my posture and speech are different and I have to be reminded of several details on the conversation we just had
Something that always bothers me in mental health spaces is the fear of relating too much to each-other across the lines of different disorders. Too many times I've met people who are not dissociative systems, but have dissociative experiences (such as from BPD), and they trip over themselves saying "no no, I mean, I don't REALLY understand what you go through, my thing is totally different," and it makes me a little upset. Disorders are just clusters of symptoms packaged together in a certain way, that's why the names and criteria often change across DSM and ICD editions, and viewing them as entirely exclusive clubs where only they could possibly understand anything about each other isn't a particularly healthy way of seeing it. The lines between disorder labels are blurrier than you think. You are not being a bad person or overstepping for relating to symptoms of a disorder, or people with a disorder, without having their specific label. Very rarely (if ever, frankly) is there a symptom that can only occur in one disorder, or even one type of disorder. Psychosis can occur in countless circumstances. Dissociation and identity compartmentalization can occur in countless circumstances. It's better to focus more on your specific symptoms and building community with your fellow neurodivergent people, using the resources that help you regardless of if they were specifically made for your diagnosis, over worrying about whether or not you're "allowed" to relate to something or experience something similarly to someone else.
