Abeyance | Raven and Azazel
Mystique. She could work with that. Impersonal. Or as impersonal as Azazel ever seemed to get.
Raven smirked, shaking her head, even as she felt the press of his tail. Her hands shifted back, catching his wrists and pushing them back to rest his hands along the outsides of her thighs instead, more to hold her steady than anything else.
"Now, Az. Don’t rush. I’m not done. I’ve just started." She released his wrists, resting her hands on his shoulders, though one slid down the center of his chest, tracking blunt nails over his shirt, stopping at his stomach, palm just above his belly button.
Her smirk took on a feral tilt.
"You’ll learn that I’ve changed. Drastically. I don’t obey your every whim. And between the two of us, I’m the one in position to make demands." She pointed out, free hand slipping around his neck, fingers curling in the hair up along the back of his head.
"Ha!" He belted out before continuing. "Me? Rush? You are the one who is now suddenly on my lap!" He smiles as he laughs, enjoying the movements of her hands on his chest, and relishing the devious smile on her face.
"Believe me, Raven. I will be the first person to tell you that you have changed." He said as he playfully rolled his eyes, sticking out his tongue a little as he grinned. "I'm glad." He said before pausing for a moment. expecting that she wouldn't believe him. "Really, I am! It is going to be nice to see you with a spine for a change."
The name of the game? Extraction.
Please. With your skill and my good looks? Interesting and successful practically go hand in hand.
Ehh, no. But I am sure you will fill me in.
With those conditions I’d do just as well going in alone.
[sighs] Your loss, Director Fury has a certain way with words when under duress. Suit up and meet me at the airfield in ten. I’ll explain on the way.
Well, I certainly can't argue with you there. Although, as always, I would hate to miss seeing you in action. [He grins]
And I will listen! Maybe.
The name of the game? Extraction.
Let’s at least try and keep this interesting, shall we? [He says plainly before a grin breaks through]
Interesting takes a back seat to successful, but I’m sure we can manage both.
You’ve been briefed then?
Please. With your skill and my good looks? Interesting and successful practically go hand in hand.
Ehh, no. But I am sure you will fill me in.
The name of the game? Extraction.
And according to the man upstairs you and I are partners.
Let’s at least try and keep this interesting, shall we? [He says plainly before a grin breaks through]
Abeyance | Raven and Azazel
Raven knew she couldn’t let him get away with talking to her like that. She wasn’t a child and she didn’t appreciate being called one.
Then again, calling Azazel out on those facts would only prompt more questions. Mainly because that would lead to questions she wasn’t going to admit to.. Ever.
So she might’ve schemed, just a bit.
And when she spotted Az, watching some show, she decided to say what the hell. Raven crossed the room quickly, coming up behind the couch and around to the front.
One hand took his glass away moving to set it to the side while she slung a leg over his lap, straddling him. Her nose traced a path along the column of his throat and she smirked.
"A few ground rules. This? Not a relationship. As soon as you start getting mushy, I’m walking away and I expect you to do the same on the off chance that I do. You can warm my bed when I need you to, or vise versa."
And if this went the way she’d planned, then he wouldn’t be able to call her a child at least, no matter how many years he had on her.
"Nor should you think that this means I’m obligated to be nice to you in any way, shape, or form. This is my offer." She pressed a biting kiss to edge of his jaw. "Take it or leave it."
Azazel had been catching up on the latest episode of Dog Cops when he heard someone enter the room. Usually, he would have gotten up and greeted them, or at least turned to see who it was. But this was Dog Cops, and nothing was going to rip Azazel away from seeing what happened to his favourite character, the villainous Pooch of Peril! That was, until the intruder jumped on his lap and straddled him.
"Oh, hello Mystique." He said as his interest in the show quickly waned, already feeling the heat of her body on his own.
"I wouldn't have it any other way." He said grinning as he brought his hands up to her perfectly shaped bottom, giving it a good squeeze as he licked his lips. "I'll take it, along with you. Right here. Right now." He whispered into her ear, his tail moving up behind her and wrapping around her neck.
Azazel knew full well that she was still angry with him since their last encounter, and he probably should have been on his guard. But with the way that things went, he couldn't care less how or why things progressed to their current state, he just knew what he wanted. And he wanted it now.
Well Well
<I suppose that’s true since you’re talking to a guy with a metal arm>
<I mean are you from Russia or where exactly?>
<Hell.>
And I won't be the one to apologize | open
"Oh, I remember that, don’t fear. Think of it as a friendly reminder that though I’m much more stubborn now, that path will get you nowhere. Very quickly, might I add."
"No. For two reasons. I’m not your queen. I don’t want to be your queen. Of course, thanks for the offer, but you’ll have to find someone else for that position. The second is that I’m pretty sure that between the two of us, only one wanted to walk away. You’re gonna have to work harder than that because I’ve realized what my mistake was and don’t plan on repeating it.”
He sighs as he lazily pushes himself from his leaning position against the wall in favour of slowly pacing around the room, observing their surroundings. "Ugh, you have become such a prude, Raven. When did the clergy start accepting demons as nuns?" He says sarcastically with a smile still on his face.
His smile is replaced by a more exasperated look as she speaks. "Listen." He says commandingly, trying to keep his anger in check as he turns to face her.
"you know damned well that I didn't have time to sit around and be your lover, the brimstone dimension called me then like it calls me even now. [Although this time I am ready. This time, I will not have need to return to that hell pit.] I have a hard time completely understanding your ill feelings towards me anyways, seeing as I gave you all you wanted. You wanted to be pregnant? Done, I gave you a child to raise as your own with your husband. I only asked that you raise it, and what did I get? Little Kurt Wagner, thrown off of a cliff due to his mothers incompetence. Face it, Raven, you allowed yourself to get caught. You ruined your own life, not I. You are angry with me because I did not love you? Grow up, little girl, the world isn't all flowers and meadows. Besides, I cared for you more than any other girl I have been with. I gave you all that I could, and now that I am back you greet me with vile words? I have been nothing if not a gentleman!"
He pauses, sighing as he lets out a breath of air, calming himself down. "I need a drink. If you feel like continuing this encounter, I will be in my room with my vodka. You know how to get in." He then teleports away, leaving only a cloud of red dust hanging in the air. And for the first time in quite a very long time. Azazel was one hundred percent straight forward with someone. Telling them his thoughts and feelings. [And it feels awful.] He then takes a swig as he opens up a worn out looking spell book, memorizing several incantations.
And I won't be the one to apologize | open
"Getting me drunk will not get you laid, Az. Remember that." She rolled her eyes, making sure to keep a distance between them, even as the edge of her mouth kicked up into a smile.
"Better? Though I’ll have you know being cold is what I’m good at. Between the two of us, only one burns hot enough to have come from the depths of hell."
"I'll keep that in mind." He said as he ran his hand through his hair, smoothing it back as he spoke. Although, Raven, I also seem to remember that I didn't need alcohol to get you in bed with me."[Or in front of the church alter, on the cold stone floor.] He laughs softly as he leans against the wall, keeping his gaze on her.
"And yes." He says with a warm smile. "That is, much better, my little Ice Queen. Would you believe me if I said your Red King has missed you all these years?" [Because that would be foolish.]
Azazel&Natasha
She doesn’t buy it, not for a moment. Sure, he may work with SHIELD, but there is no doubt in Natasha’s mind that the only interest he works for is his own. Still, it hardly matters. Any force working against Hydra is to be considered an ally at this early stage - enemy of my enemy and all.
"I see that you own a television. Yes, I’m an Avenger," she quips. This time when he steps forward, Natasha steps back. He’s getting too close, and it’s making the fine hairs on the back of her neck stand on end. Purely on instinct one of her hands begins to drift toward the small, four inch pigsticker tucked beneath her waistband.
"Ehh, I would not call it a television per say. But I digress, I thought you looked familiar. I have to say, Black widow, I am quite the fan of your fighting style. Spetsnaz is it? We should really train together sometime, just you and I."
"What's wrong, little lamb, does Azazel make you, uneasy?" He says as he reaches into his suit jacket pocket.
And I won't be the one to apologize | open
"Don’t touch me." She growled as he moved closer, broaching her space with that smug smile. Punching him would be so damned fun too.
"You can provide the drink, but that doesn’t guarantee you anything in the long run." She reminded him. "I’m not nearly as much of a lightweight as I used to be." She turned, facing him and taking a few steps back, glaring.
"Really now? Maybe you will be able to keep up with me then. " He says with a smile. "And don't be so cold, woman. You're starting to remind me of my mother... That is if I knew her. Eh, I'm sure she was a wretched thing anyways." He says as he tries to keep from laughing.
Well Well
Hell no. I don’t remember my mother but I’m pretty sure you don’t fit the bill. <he says in Russian> Where’re you from?
<Stranger things have happened, my friend, believe me!.> [He says as he laughs.]
<That really depends. What do you mean, come from?>
Azazel&Natasha
"I am Azazel. But that hardly matters. What I am interested in, is who you are.” He takes a few steps toward her, a charming smile painted on his face.
"You’re not the first," Natasha replies, evasive as ever, not giving an inch as he moves in towards her. From his entrance it’s clear that he’s some sort of metahuman, perhaps even a mutant, if the X-Men have decided to take sides this time around. Azazel. It doesn’t sound human, but then again codenames aren’t exactly uncommon in their field.
"My name is Natasha, my business is SHIELD business," she offers out the bait, and hopes he gives a bite in return.
[Strictly a S.H.I.E.L.D agent then, hm? This could prove fruitful... In many ways.] "Well, Natasha, if your business is SHIELD business, then your business is mine. I also happen to work for, or at least with, SHIELD... Ever since they recruited me in their efforts regarding the Infinity Stones that is."
He continues to move in closer until he is a only a few feet from her. "You know..." He says as he gives her a playfully askance look. "You look awfully familiar. You do not happen to be one of the fabled Avengers, do you?

"Your compliment is appreciated." Amora replied with a slight smirk. She would never not appreciate a compliment. Especially when it came to her beauty of all tings. "You speak many words than needed. I have came to give you an offer which would be foolish to turn down." Amora said to him as she stood in front of him. She then smirked slightly as he spoke. "I’m not here to discuss current titles, Azazel. I’m here to discuss future ones. Maybe even…better ones. Does that interest you, Azazel?"
"Funny, Enchantress. I was about to ask the same of you." He grins devilishly before continuing. "I was thinking, maybe playing both sides, while working toward our own goals. Or did you have something better in mind?"
Well Well
I’m waiting for a guy to hand me a bottle. [Bucky smirks a little] I’m uh…acquainted with Russia real well.
Hand you the bottle? [He laughs] Here. [He tosses him the bottle] I'm not your mother. [He smirks as he removes a flask from his jacket] <To Russia.> [He says in Russian as he raises the flask before taking a drink]
And I won't be the one to apologize | open
Raven doesn’t even bother turning around at first, instead shaking her head at the faint scent of brimstone - yeah, she hadn’t missed that - before turning around, recapping the bottle of whiskey, fingers threading around the neck of the bottle.
"And here I was hoping you’d at least tried to forget. Something now is telling me otherwise of course. Besides playing for the good guys - or trying to - tends to include leaving team members with their eyesight completely intact. Maybe next time."
"Maybe." He said playfully as he moves up behind her, laying a kiss on her neck. "Or maybe next time I provide the drink, and we avoid this whole mutilation situation. No matter how much it excites me... Or you for that matter." He says as he licks his lips, thinking of their more private moments together.
