I finally realized that the team isn't necessarily proud of Episode 5 as a whole, but the animation. Because, let's be 100% honest, Vox Dei is the most breathtaking sequence in the show so far.

And this part in particular

Yall have any idea how crazy it is to get a shot like this hand drawn animation?? The tracking shot in real life can be difficult, let alone animation? With additional movement from both Vox and his sharks and his screens? The swinging? I can completely see why Viv is proud of it.

It's astonishingly beautiful.
