FlightSMP folks! What quotes do you believe best represent their speaker? (CPK's “Spread the word, not a killer!” got me inspired, I'm making a list but I don't watch all the perspectives. Basically asking for favourite quotes from characters.)

With the knowledge of It!Zam, who do y'all believe is the most interesting person to be possessed at present?

I think if I were going at this without It!Zam, I actually would vote for Zam. She has ties to others, a strict aversion to violence, and would be hit hard by it. Taking Zam out of option though…

Currently my vote is for Scott, his sheer power and capability, as well as his high ties to other people, makes it very interesting. He's not very emotive, which makes this especially fascinating.

Beyond that, honestly a Roscumber or Aj possession interests me because both characters are so tied to their objective. The idea of that being stripped back fascinates me.

Not to start discourse but I will be forever mad that every time I go into the Goncharov tag I see people complaining that they watched the movie expecting a soft queer romcom about pure cinnamon rolls and instead they got a complex and violent film about deeply flawed people where everyone dies.

By all means, engage in fandom however you choose. But don’t blame the source material for not being consistent with some random fanon on tumblr. Kinda wild to get mad that the movie about violent, morally dark grey criminals has violence, crime and moral greyness in it. You know? Also, imho given the time this movie was made, the queer coding was daring; this is NOT an example of queerbaiting.

I am not an Osteon defender.

“They’re mad about getting feedback” yeah time and a place but also like, the feedback is understandable.

But Onion confirmed she didn’t know everything going on, like why they were below deck. She says they’d step in while proving why that’s not a guarantee. Teaching is valuable but this isn’t teaching, this is throwing to the wolves with a life at stake. This wasn’t a lesson, it was a test, and that I cannot accept.

A few of my favourite traits of The Flight characters:

Graecie is brave. She's frightened, often, but what else can you call someone that will ring bell after bell on the off chance that it can save her friend? Who gets chased by the thing in her body, for a theory of another? She fears, often, but she consistently shows the ability to act beyond that fear.

Sausage is impressionable. As a frequent watcher, I can count on two hands how often his opinion changes in moments, depending entirely on who he's with. While he's stubborn, he shows a fluidity that's less adaptability or deception, and more a genuine shifting of stances. It's a facet of his character that I don't see talked about much, but I think Juniper said it best when she emphasized his general newness to everything.

Lukey is a strong comforter. It's surprising, giving his more comedic nature and refusal to push, but it's been seen twice now. With both Graecie and Amber he shows his own ability to push through panic and keep a level head, in turn helping the others do the same. Maybe it's a facet of his disconnect and his unique standing in the school, there's a level of "and so we continue forward" that lets him keep others on the path, stopping them from stumbling back. His levelheadedness shows itself in strange moments, and moments of extreme action are certainly when they occur most. It's part of what makes him so hard to read; he's honest to what is asked but shares little beyond it, he won't push on distress or try to solve others problems, and yet when someone needs it in the moment - he keeps them from freezing.

My twitter refreshed before I could watch the clip but apparently Osteon confirmed that the predecessor books are tricks. Mainly meant to serve as a way to get people prepared to die for the crown which is all kinds of messed up. Everyone has been freaking out over the contents of their books believing them these horrible prophecies but instead this is just to make them the perfect soldiers. Oh Kingdom of Summer you are so fascinating to me but damn does your propaganda work.

So Osteon said that the books from the predecessors basically told the students that they WILL die on the battlefield, but not through the same fate as they did. Meaning they'll die differently.

Makes me so evil because I'm thinking of SOOOOO many ways of how Tf!Ros would die, you know LAMOAAOA

Guys you can't truly love your favourite character if you haven't thought of how they'll die in a scenario where they will die in the future
