Today I went to show support for those who lost their lives in Orlando, and their friends, families and loved ones. Although this was a time of sadness, it was also a time of strength and pride. This was the first LGBTQIA+ event I have ever been to, as due to family circumstances I have been unable to attend anything else. Although I went alone, some of my friends and people I know were there, and although I was nervous, I felt safe and at home surrounded by people united by love.
