Having had a message at church a week or so ago about Sabbath, this vacation couldn't have come at a better time. Instead of filling empty time with Netflix or running errands, I truly rested. I gave thanks, I rejoiced in silence and solitude. I worshiped on the beach, in the rain, and on a dock. This Sabbathing has let me feel more rested than I have felt in ages. Fall has been a trial - learning to trust God, have patience in His timing, and giving all of myself to Him. I know I have so much further to go, but I believe that I am healing. At extremely slow paces, and in little spurts with long pauses, but I am healing, growing, preparing.
