What used to be one of the most seedy and dangerous neighborhoods in the District has recently been dubbed a great place to invest and settle in. However, without proper care and upkeep and good taste, many of rowhomes in the neighborhood can easily turn into shit holes. The original design of many of them is unattractive and boring and some, like the one that was transformed above, seemed like they were never even designed at all: just blocks built in a quick fashion to support the quickly rising number of low-income residents moving into the District in the early 20th century. The improvement here is absolutely, undoubtedly unprecedented to the other improvements seen lately. Compare the photo in the ad and the street view on Google Maps of 1205 Morse Street NE and you will see what I mean. Plus, you know how much I like taller buildings. But this is so much better than your average pop-up. And the interior is not your average Trinidad improvement either. A bit pricey for the neighborhood as it is now perhaps, but this one will make a great investment for whoever decides to snatch it, what, with all the H Street and neighborhood improvements and the amazing growth going on in NoMa.
