hiatus.
This blog is so dead it's damn near ridiculous. The thing is, the amount of jdrama and jmovies I've watched during the past year can be counted with the fingers of your right hand. There was Brain Man, FMA and Bleach, and we started watching Naked Director some time ago on Netflix, but so far we haven't even finished it. And looking back a few years the situation doesn't look any better.
I keep seeing new interesting titles since I still follow some blogs and I also follow a Jdrama group in FB, but the difficulty of access to jdrama has been the biggest reason I feel put off by it all. And no, I don't support KissAsian, I'm part of the old generation who used to get the subs straight from the subbing teams, and to me it feels wrong to use KissAsian, no matter what the major vote on it is these days. There are other reasons as well, one major being just the simple fact that in general I seem to have lost interest, even though I still do consider myself a Jdrama fan.
In any case, I wanted to let You All know that the future of this blog is very unsure. I sometimes scroll through this blog out of pure nostalgia and sometimes I re-watch some favorites (like the Seven Days movie or Hana-kimi or anything with Kamiki Ryunosuke). I love this blog to bits, I've had it since 2013 (6 years, wow!) and I will probably never delete it. But I think all of you 340+ followers deserve to know there's a high chance this blog won't ever be properly active again. Maybe it will! I am prone to hyperfixating on things, and Jdrama used to be something I always came back to and binged for weeks on end, and then put it away only to come back again later. I feel like the hole jdrama used to fill for me has been permanently filled with other things, but maybe some time in the future there will be some room for it again. I certainly hope so! Jdrama, all my favorite actors and actresses and jmovies still mean a lot to me and I will continue to follow the careers of my favorite actors. But this blog. Is now on official hiatus.
Thank you for following my j-fangirling blog ❤️

ps. my personal blog is at @notsometownie these days, if anyone's interested. It's a sideblog, like this one. The description text up top is not up-to-date and I'm writing this on mobile so I can't fix links right now!

If you like that I highly suggest you should check out Wao Yoka as Dracula. Not only is she a great female Dracula but she’s one of the best Draculas period.

It’s in Japanese but the refrain there is essentially
“It’s over. It’s over. The battle’s done. Why don’t you just surrender to me? You can see I have won.”
