The Good Witches of Oz (9)
The same way I ended my Wicked Witch of the West series with a post about genderbends, I shall also end this series with a look at the male Good Witches of Oz.
Starting with of course the Glinda twist of 1976's Australian parody "Oz" - Glynn, a gay clothing shop-owner nicknamed "The Good Fairy".
I do not have much "genderbend" Good Witches of Oz, but one case of major importance would be the Japanese dating game "Oz + Shall we date ?" where we have a genderbend of the TWO Good Witches of Oz, since the app actually follows the book canon... As a result, two of your potential dating routes including Norton, the Wizard of the North (who might not be as Good as you believe, depending on which road you take...)
... and Solomon, the Wizard of the South (each of the four Wizards in the game have a name evoking their cardinal direction). He is red-themed, of course, to match Baum's color coding (Norton meanwhile is purple-themed).
Finally I'll conclude this series with a brief shout-out to the defunct webcomic The Black Brick Road of O.Z., where you also had two Good Witches. Though they were very much reinvented - since they were based as much on Baum's Wizard of Oz as on Volkov's Magic Land books - and one of them was missing since long before the comic began... I will put them under a cut due to it precisely being a webcomic and a defunct one, meaning sharing images of it online has a whole questionable nature...
