I've been feeling under the weather for about a week, but today of all days when it's socially acceptable to not leave bed because you're watching a game, I took full advantage. We forgot there would be a livestream so my awesome hubby dragged our mattress out to our living room so I could watch #superbowlLI from bed. ❤

This is two weeks overdue but there has been a lot going on behind the scenes. Better late than never, right? A year and two weeks ago on January 2nd, I married my Wash, my Rory Pond, my Rick Castle, and my Ron Weasley. Most importantly, he's my very best friend. I've never been so confident in a relationship with another human being. I know that he'll take me to Target just to wander when I can't stand being in my own head for one more minute and that he'll wake me up with coffee every morning. I know he'll be there when I feel like I can't fight anymore. This is my human and I can't imagine walking through life without him. Happy FIRST anniversary, Jeff. Dear Tristan, Eight years, baby. Eight amazing, painful, unbearable, glorious years. November has always been a really difficult month for us. You got sick eight years ago today. I was told several times that you were not going to make it. I was told you'd die. I watched your heart rate raise to dangerous levels. I watched your heart stop. I didn't sleep for 48 hours. My faith and everything I believed in was nearly lost. I tried imagining my world without you in it and wrestled with the fact that I would have to live on without you. But here you are. You beat the odds every single day. You amaze me with your compassion. Your beautiful spirit keeps me going every single day. You frustrate me (like every child should frustrate their parent). You push me to be a better mother and a better person. You're the living embodiment of something else in the universe having a hand on your life. You're my hero. Love you, Bash. Two years ago today, I drove to Troutdale with my boys to pick this insane, hyper, doofus of a dog up from the shelter. It was a long way to go on a leap of faith, but this dog has been one of the best things to happen to our family. We adopted her to be Tristan's companion when he was having seizures, but she fit in to the rest of our family in so many ways. A constant cuddle companion. The best running partner. Fierce protector. I'm just so impressed with the #PitBull breed that I'll never go a day without having one around. This dumb-dumb is no exception. #FreyjaLouise #pitbullsofinstagram #blametheownernotthebreed
