Velveleine SFW headcanons
A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)
Madeleine is extremely affectionate with Red Velvet, his love languages are physical touch and words of affection. The main way he shows this is every morning Madeleine gently wakes up Velvet by stroking his cheeks and whispering sweet nothings into his ear.
B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)
Madeleine is both Red Velvet’s boyfriend and best friend, after all they have been through together they both trust each other with their lives.
Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How SFW alphabet with Madeleine x Red Velvet (Madeleine is the one I’m writing about)
Madeleine is a giant cuddle bug and Velvet loves everything about it. They would be snuggling and hugging at every moment if they could. Physical touch is very affirming to Red Velvet and helps ground him in stressful situations.
D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)
Madeleine can’t cook if his life depends on it, Red Velvet is a master in the kitchen and does all of the cooking for the two of them and often bakes dog treats for Chiffon and all of the other cake hounds. They can both clean quite well but madeleine really enjoys it, although he hates the sound of the vacuum.
E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)
He couldn’t, his everything is Red Velvet. He would rather end himself than them.
F = Fiancé(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)
It has always been Madeleine’s dream to marry who he thought was his forever one. At a certain point he realized that Red Velvet was that forever one. Madeleine strongly believes that once you commit to someone you stay with them if they also commit to you fully.
G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)
Madeleine is an extremely gentle person, he is always trying to look out for the little things but sometimes his ego can get in the way. Red Velvet is extremely gentle and careful with his cake arm, he really doesn’t want to hurt the ones closest to him because of his strength and body.
H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)
Madeleine gives long and warm hugs with his entire body, it’s his main way of greeting Red Velvet when he cant give him a good kiss or a little peck on the cheek.
I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)
Madeleine felt their spark rather quickly, he was also the first one to say it.
J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)
Madeleine can get really jealous if Red Velvet doesn’t acknowledge him for a certain amount of time when they’re in a group he gets extremely jealous.
K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)
Madeleine loves getting kissed all over his face, on his cheeks and his nose is his favourite. He gives very gentle and light kisses but he can get very passionate when he thinks it’s the right moment.
L = Little ones (How are they around children?)
He is fine around children but he is no Mary Poppins.
M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)
Madeleine is not a morning person, he hates getting up early. His ideal morning is lounging in bed with Red Velvet and then having a nice breakfast and going on a walk with Chiffon.
N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)
He loves having a slow evening with a big, exquisite dinner and then lounging on the couch watching trashy reality television. He is not good at staying up late so he likes to be in bed around ten. Red Velvet walks Chiffon one last time in the evening, Madeleine does his intricate hair and skin routine then so he can hop in bed with Velvet the moment he gets back and cuddle until they both fall asleep.
O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)
He is very open about a lot of things but he is very guarded about his childhood, it was a very traumatic time for him and he has a lot of trouble talking about it. Once he really warmed up to Red Velvet he slowly sprinkled in little bits of information and lore into their conversations.
P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)
Madeleine isn’t really a patient person, he usually acts before he thinks which in rare cases leads to him getting very angry about things that don’t really matter and that are just little things in the moment. Red Velvet is the more level-headed of the two.
Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)
Madeleine tries his hardest to remember all of Red Velvet’s little preferences and dislikes but this is sometimes hard for him due to his ADHD. He will often put little food items out that he knows Velvet likes which Red Velvet finds very sweet of Madeleine.
R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)
It wasn’t really a big moment like their first kiss or the first “I love you” but a little peaceful moment they had together.
It was a mix of a trail ride and a dog walk. Madeleine needed to ride his horse, Sugar, and Red Velvet needed to take Chiffon out on a walk. Madeleine suggested they combined their two tasks and go together on a ride/walk though the woods. It was such a peaceful and bonding experience. Just the feeling of being able to share these little things with each other felt so comforting. At one point it started to rain, pour even, but they couldn’t find shelter in time. So there they were, both they and their animal companions soaked to the bone but Madeleine was still so happy he was with Red Velvet in that moment.
S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)
Madeleine is extremely protective of Red Velvet and vice versa because of the dark flour war and their pasts. In combat Madeleine wants to stay close to Velvet if he can’t protect himself.
T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)
Madeleine puts a great amount of effort into all aspects of their relationship, both things that are big and small. If he wants to take Red Velvet out on a date he plans everything in great detail to make sure that both of them will have an amazing time.
U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)
Madeleine has the bad habit of overthinking everything, he stresses about a lot of little things and worries every time he says something that can be received in a way that he didn’t mean. He has this bad habit because of his upbringing pressurizing him to always seam perfect Infront of the cameras and big crowds.
V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)
Madeleine loves taking a lot of time with his looks and making sure he looks good for Red Velvet. He has a twenty-something step hair and skincare routine so he can always look glowy and angelic.
W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)
Absolutely, Red Velvet is his whole world at this point and he wouldn’t be sure if he could keep going without his beloved.
X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)
Madeleine loves using all sorts of pet names on Red Velvet:
He even uses these in social gatherings when its not always appropriate to call your war general boyfriend Velvey.
Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)
He hates fish, absolutely despises the overwhelming taste and smell. Red Velvet didn’t know this when they first got together and made him a very nice fish and chips dinner that made Madeleine throw up.
Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)
As a kid Madeleine has terrible insomnia, to help him sleep his mom used to read him children’s stories and cuddle him until he fell asleep. Now if he gets a bout of insomnia the only thing that can get him to fall asleep is Red Velvet doing the same thing.
