I know I've been quite inactive lately, and unfortunately that is going to continue for some time 😓

I'm moving next month and it's stressing me out. So I'm not promising that I'll be posting anything meaningful during that time. Maybe something occasionally if I got the motivation. I need to pack all my stuff and settle into the new home.

I hate these fucking obsessive episodes I occasionally get. Now I'm fixated on organizing and gathering mods for my dinosaur game because I'm scared of them becoming lost and I want them to be somewhere convenient and easy to access...

Help me I've been doing that for the past few days straight 😭🙏

If I can't get anything meaningful done tomorrow, I'm considering maybe doing a few art trades to hopefully get my shit back together at least a bit.

(Commissions would also be really appreciated if anyone's interested. I just got my allowance and over half of it is already gone, because I had a bill to pay and some fuckass reason adobe decided to charge me multiple times for my subscription... 🫩)

What are some things you would like to see be explored in this AU/fanfic?

It can be addition to all the main Gunmar stuff, I mean it's the whole idea of this thing. But like to pad out the story and lore a bit to make it more interesting-

A few examples

More focus to original characters, like Kára and Fil and their relationship

Story with a new and/or existing Trollhunter(s)

Story following the life and work of the changelings

Magic shit or something... Worldbuilding

A Deep and detailed Darklands arc and the survival down there

You know what? Time for a little headcanon-

I'm of the belief that every character should have a little personality trait or quirk or interest that is just random or funny. And here's mine for this AU:

Gunmar likes bugs (and other arthropods)!

The concept of creatures that wear an outer skeleton (that is really durable for their size) is metal as hell to him! There's also a wide variety of them with all the different shapes and colors. And compared to most other animals, they often aren't as fearful and are easier to approach.

And ironically enough, he also doesn't like it when someone kills them (at least the non-annoying ones)

Here's an artwork I made some time ago of youngmar with a dragonfly

He really likes dragonflies, they are his favorite animals. They are really successful and fierce hunters, which is cool to him. This one specifically is an Emperor Dragonfly, one of the largest dragonfly species found in Europe.

And in some European folklore, when a dragonfly flies over someone's head, it is said to weigh the person's soul and sow or even puncture the eyes of a sinner. (Which is really fitting considering what happened to one of Gunmar's eyes)

There's also this one that is related to him with bugs!

Dropping this here as well because I haven't posted anything in a while-

Rough sketch of Janus redesign before going to bed.

It was a little tricky but I am pretty proud of how he turned out.

I'm thinking of making him a polymorph, so his design took some inspiration from the mythological Chimera

Plus some sort of idea what he would wear

I can't draw clothes nor are my designs very clothing-friendly 😭 (Give me tips if you have any)

He will also have a bit more role and focus in my story ;)
