The Art of Shufflemancy
(๑ˇεˇ๑)•*¨*•.¸♫♪
ılı.lıllılı.ıllı.ılı.lıllılı.ıllı.
Derived from the mid- 16th century English word “shuffle,” and the suffix for divination or magic, “mancy.”
Perhaps you’ve seen the word “Shufflemancy” surfacing around the divination community on Tumblr, and wondered what it was. Well good news for you— I’m here to give you a bit of insight on this method of divination!
Compared to many spiritual practices we know of today, this one is quite new— thanks to technology and digital media!
Japan originally introduced CD players in 1982 (and globally in 1983) that could randomize tracks within a playlist. Then in 1991, music software on computers such as the Windows Media Player included it as well.
Moving into 2001, portable audio devices or MP3 players such as the iPod (or specifically the iPod shuffle, 2005) was released and paved the way for modern digital music streaming.
Now we often use online streaming services such as Pandora, SoundCloud, Apple Music, Spotify, etc. Customizable playlists and a myriad of artists, genres, and songs are more accessible than ever before through these platforms. It certainly has allowed Shufflemancy to become the intricate and nuanced divination system it is today.
So choose whichever music player or service that best fits you, and let’s get started!

Some people would advise cleansing your device and aura before starting the Shufflemancy process.
If you feel like there is some negative or residual energy, feel free to clear up some space within the device or even around your physical surroundings. If you use other spiritual cleansing tools such as candles, incense or smudging techniques, these could be quite useful.
Otherwise, meditate on your question and set the intention. If you are a clairvoyant or psychic who has contact with your spirit guide(s), you may want to assign them an “indicator song.”
Ex. Let’s say you’ve given them “Just Like Magic” by Ariana Grande. As you are shuffling through your music playlist, the song that plays after this song (if it comes up) is a message from them!
After receiving a message, you can continue to shuffle for another song that could provide you with more answers to the question in mind.
Sᴋɪᴘ ▷▷
I personally allow querents to give me a number of skips, as I believe their intention is set when they have chosen one.
Otherwise, I would intuitively choose the number of skips myself. They would usually pop into my mind as an image. This part may vary for many of you, as certain techniques don’t necessarily work for all diviners.
[Numerology]
Within my own readings, I’ve noticed how there have been specific messages regarding the number the querent or I had intuitively chosen:
1) Associated with the Sun. The messages for the querent may relate to independence, confidence and new beginnings. They are being reminded of the power they hold within their own hands!
2) Associated with the Moon. The messages for the querent are about their emotions, affection, sensitivity, intuition, and/or how they care for others. Another interpretation may refer to balance or a particular connection with another person.
3) This number revolves around concerns regarding communication, thinking, and creative expression. The querent may be inquiring about their creative endeavours or otherwise encouraged to pursue one.
4) Connected to stability and security, the querent may be advised to focus on their material or financial concerns. This number may furthermore be reference to the querent’s family matters or sense of worth.
5) Messages about change and a need to adapt or go with the flow is common with this number. Socializing and delving into high energy pursuits and playing with the inner child is advised here.
6) Matters relating to the family, home, and/or children are emphasized when this number comes up. Emotions of compassion, understanding, harmony, and warmth are present or needed.
7) Introspection, intuition, and spirituality are put into focus. There may be a quest for knowledge and truth. The querent may be going through an internal or profound transformation.
8) Since this particular number resembles the infinity symbol and embodies two whole circles, there is a message regarding cycles, completion and/or letting go.
9) Inner wisdom and leadership is seen with this number. The querent may be an inspiration to others or will be pursuing humanitarian pursuits. An alternative message may refer to difficulties coming to an end, and finally learning one’s lessons.
—
*For numbers that are double digits or higher, you can add them to “reduce” them… That sounds pretty confusing doesn’t it— here are some examples:
11 is 1+1 = 2
22 is 2+2 = 4
33 is 3+3 = 6
—
11) The querent may be spiritually sensitive during the moment they asked their question. Perhaps there is a spiritual awakening in particular or a call to become more like its associated Tarot card, The Magician.
22) There is a specific message regarding spiritual mastery or achievements. The querent is meant to build or expand their skills and path towards success. Harmony and balance is also advised since this number contains double 2s.
33) The querent may be undergoing an immense amount of growth or is called to focus on learning and advancement in everything they do. This number is associated with business and personal projects as well. So there is certainly an encouragement to stay on their desired path.

Pause ⏯
Once you’ve reached the number of skips you intended to shuffle in your chosen playlist, lift your fingers from the button to stop the skipping! Then, pause the song whenever you are energetically drawn to particular lyrics.
Remember to take note of the mood and significant memories or imagery that comes to mind from the song.
✎ Interpreting Lyrics
Pay attention to how the lyrics make you feel and what they are saying. How do they relate to the question in mind?
If needed, you could perhaps write down any significant impressions of the song on paper and gather a message from there!
Ex. “How do they feel about me?”
9 SKIPS + Cloud 9 - Beach Bunny:
Lately, I’ve been feeling un-alive
But you bring me back to life
But when he loves me, I feel like I’m floating…
Your person in question feels inspired by you, compassionate, and like they can accomplish anything when they’re with you. This is quite evident as the number 9 encompasses these qualities, and is emphasized both in the intuitively chosen number of skips, as well as the title name. The song moreover feels upbeat and is likely a representation of their ultimate emotions towards you! They indeed feel like they’re on Cloud 9 ꒰⑅ᵕ༚ᵕ꒱˖♡♡˖꒰ᵕ༚ᵕ⑅꒱

✿ Now it’s your turn! I was called to share this song with all of you. So if you feel drawn to it… perhaps it’s meant for you to interpret:
[English Lyrics]
© 2021 Copyright Lenora (Sailor Solar)
Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles, but the sun is actually coming for the Earth. It is expending, the heat consuming everything… fires light. People scream. They try to escape, but do not know where to go.
You’re above it all, though. Having long accepted the eventual death of the Earth, you sit back in your home as it burns and listen to the radio.

Since I've been posting and reflecting about my place in the trans male community as a trans male of color, it's really growing on me just how little I hear from trans males who aren't white.
This is a serious issue. As well as whenever folks who aren't trans men or even when white trans men discuss issues within our community, trans men of color are constantly left out and never given any thought.
A good chunk of conversations revolving around the trans male community are way too white dominated, and whenever trans men are discussed, folks usually always assume our community is filled with nothing but white people, therefore the majority of discussions about how transphobia within government systems is harmful and how TERF rhetoric harms trans men, are whitewashed experiences and or talked about through a white lens.
For example, discussions about how trans men are treated by the (American) healthcare system and doctors, rarely ever talk about how trans men of color are disproportionately effected by how transphobic said system is. As a Black individual, I'm already going to be treated like I'm not human due to my race and me being trans only makes getting access to care even harder. Doctors labeling and or viewing Black trans men as Black women is really fucking dangerous, because Black folks in general especially Black women, are hurt severely by the healthcare system every day.
On top of this, the Black trans community is also effected by things such as AIDS and homelessness at significantly high rates.
This can even heavily effect Black trans folk's mental health. The thought of facing healthcare discrimination and the threat of possibly being humiliated because of your anatomy when it comes to receiving medical care, is something that trans POC have to battle on top of the possibility that we might face racism as well.
To leave trans POC out of the conversation is deadly. It can kill. Not having our voices heard and emotions known will only continue to hinder us. And the trans male community is not exempt from this. We can do better.
hello there! i originally asked this question on your youtube (which was a silly move on my part, admittedly) but what brushes do you use to line and blend in your art? i've been trying to replicate your lining style with the pleasant crunchy lines (and blend in a manner that doesn't look as smooth as it keeps ending up, blugh) but no matter what i do, i simply cannot get the darn thing to work.
Hello! Thank you for the question, I'll do my best to answer (I'm not the best at explaining my process, but I will try) I use two programs when I draw.
Clip Studio Paint (Sketching/Coloring/Shading/Filters)
KRITA (Inking)
-----------
INKING
I use a pencil brush that I strictly use when inking. I use it at full opacity with the size range at 5-20 px. It's got a crunchy, rough, but solid texture to it.
BLENDING
As for blending, I use a watercolor set. (I think it comes with Clip's basic assets)
I use the Flat Watercolor Brush, ULLE, Round Watercolor Brush, and a pencil brush from the "Intoxicate Pencil Set" I downloaded from the asset store.
Link to the pencil set : https://assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=1740419
Link to the ULLE brush : https://assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=1778200
I use the pencil brush to erase and fade it into the rest of the colors.
EXAMPLE
Erase the bits that I want to fade in.
And it should look something like this. I should also mention that if you want the brush (or any brush) to become an eraser of itself, that you click on this checker icon.
I hope that helps! :]
I went through a mimic phase a while back :D
