don’t lock me out, leon, please  —  he wanted to say. oh, how raihan wanted to say it, but the bitterness in his throat choked him like a poison, fatal, fatal, fatal  —  but he swallows the poison, knowing the dangers that’ll follow and he gets up. blue eyes locked on the other’s back that faced him in the hospital bed he lied in, and he helped himself to carefully settle in the bed. earning a right angered voice from leon, but it’s halted when raihan looks at leon with a pained and emotionally charged glare. and from that alone, it silenced leon and he’s finally laying down and wrapping his arms around the other.

❛  please, just … let me lay like this.  ❜  his voice escapes him in a subtle tremble as he hid his face away in the champion’s chest.  ❛  i just … want you to understand  —  i’m not mad with you. i was scared for you.  ❜  and he hugs tighter as if leon would disappear if he loosened his hold ever so slightly.  ❛  if i can’t be on the same level as you in this damn lifetime. don’t take the only human thing i have left.  ❜  and these last words are spoken in vulnerability. perhaps the first time he has ever allowed his emotions to breakthrough. as of now, his hug feels like a plea all on its own, a plea for leon to understand. a plea for leon to stay with him, here in this moment than rushing to race ahead. abandoning him to time.

really love that leon just got a new outfit post game because he’s not the champion anymore. like he really just said “well i’m not the champion anymore so i need a whole new look” and sonia or smth was like “no? you really don’t?” and leon pulled out his black card like “no i do.”

leon isn’t affectionate- aside from maybe a head ruffle or a pat on the back, he’s never been the one to show how he cares about someone through action whether they’re family or friends. it comes as a surprise to most because of how outgoing he is and how friendly he likes to be, but he almost has an aversion to it. the most anyone has seen him give is a hug to his mom because of how he might be a little bit of a momma’s boy... but that’s really it. this even extends to romance- a fault that he’ll admit he’s a little insecure about.

in fact, due to his position, people tend to know who leon dates and when: he’s a public figure, people are invasive and so tabloids latch onto his love life pretty fast. it’s because of the paparazzi that people know that he’s never kept a relationship long- people seem to come and go, some even catching the people dumping leon himself. there used to be an image he had that people made that he would surely be a loving partner, someone who dotes and showers who he’s with with gifts and love but that never proved to be true. leon takes ages to fall in love because of a dedication to his job and a simple “i just don’t feel that strongly,” he’d say with a shrug. not to say he wouldn’t like to fall in love- he’s just a little too nonchalant about it. it’s just not a big deal to him.

a little too easygoing is leon, suffice to say, because all it takes to date him is to simply ask as long as you’re a man. whether he’ll fall for you, though, is another story.

          tired  eyes  lazily  gaze  at  a  television  playing  shows  that  two  men  could  hardly  care  about  with  plot - lines  neither  can  follow.   it’s  far  too  late  for  either  of  them  to  be  up   ---   leon  can’t  sleep  and  raihan  made  an  offer  to  stay  up  with  him.   a  drained  sort  of  restlessness   /   he  couldn’t  explain  how  it  felt.   random  thoughts  whether  good  and  bad  keep  him  awake  past  reasonable  hours.   hands  interlaced  squeeze  each  other  every  couple  of  minutes.   the  gesture,   the  comfort  of  it...   leon’s  heart  felt  especially  full. 

          after  another  rerun  episode  does  the  former  champion  even  realize  that  raihan  had  been  awfully  silent   ---   raihan  had  been  quietly  snoring  away  while  leaning  right  on  top  of  leon  himself.   it  hits  him  that  his  eyelashes  were  long,   lips  tantalizing,   that  he  was  so  breathtaking  that  it  took  just  that :   inadvertently  held  ‘til  his  lungs  begged  for  air.   a  gasp  that  he  hoped  didn’t  wake  him.   luck  was  on  his  side  when  he  hardly  even  stirred.   phew.

          “    raihan?    ”     a  soft - spoken  call  to  check,   with  absolute  certainty,   that  he  was  asleep.   a  few  seconds  to  wait.   nothing.   leon  could  hardly  keep  back  a  chuckle.   cute!   a  peck  on  the  cheek  given  as  he  gets  comfortable  against  him,   deciding  it’d  be  best  to  turn  in  now.   ( sleeping  on  the  couch  would  be  fine,   right? )     “    thank  you.    ”
