i wish they never marketed this shit as AI, it's fucking machine learning

my theory for the AI market bubble is that AI companies are gaining revenue from investments by existing companies in various industries to develop and integrate "proprietary AI" bullshit into their websites so they can then sell a subscription to customers in order to access this tool they likely didn't need under the guise of "enhanced performance"

so i think for most of these companies it's really just the additional subscription cash flow has them like 🤑🤑🤑

#can confirm #working in advertising shows you how every industry is just smoke and mirrors #subscriptions in general are a massive ticking time bomb if you think about planned obsolescence more holistically
