Idv's censoring content creators because some of them support the boycott. I really hope they do better, but also we are so cooked. I was already boycotting, but I think I may fully jump ship. I hate this company.

So...I made my own IDV News Website + Happy 1 Year Anniversary to Me~

I decided to try my hand at creating a website for IDV news similar to an actual gaming news site (which the Western media has failed us on when it comes to IDV specifically). And that is why the site was born. I know there are IDV news accounts on Tumblr and Twitter, but I haven't seen an actual site outside the wiki. Also helps me learn/practice journalism as well, so there's that.

It's very baby right now though. I only have a handful of articles up and I'm still learning as I go. While I've ran blogs before, that was more of a casual hobby. This is slightly bigger. Feels even more bigger when I'm launching this site on the same day I started playing IDV exactly a year ago. Huzzah~ Yippie~ If only we were AI-free! (Sad times we live in...)

Anyways, for more information on the site and a lil about me, I do have an About page already set up.

I plan to try my best to keep up with what's happening with IDV but I'm running the site on my own so while you should expect regular updates, I may miss something.

And lastly, despite it being a news site, I will still post about the lore and include perhaps some of my analysis posts that did well here and import it over to the website.

Still trying to get a footing on this site, so please be patient and understanding. I definitely have to open a tip/contact form for news help, too...I swear...

Visitor from beyond was such an interesting event to read while writing a paper on how mental illness is portrayed in idv. Congrats on not making one of the alters evils. Sucks that the main antagonistic is evil because mania. Why was he abducting kids???

I'm so dissapointed idv is using ai in its game. Im free to play, and was never going to support them economically, so I dont have that on my conscience. That being said I think the use of ai is effecting my enjoyment of the game, and will continue to do so especially if it starts influencing the story because thats literally the entire reason I'm here.

I love idvs lore because you get a bunch of information and have to string it together to make a cohesive story and character, and everytime a new skin or birthday comes around its exciting because you get more information to add to the chain. Furthermore, it feels like theirs some sort of big picture. Sure theirs some plot holes and idv seems like it'll keep its story going until the game ends no matter even if the quality suffered, but I never felt like thinking about the lore was a waste of time. If ai starts creeping into the story, like what happened with the COA video, thinking about the lore will be a waste of time because theirs no intention behind any of the writing. Im not figuring out a story written by a person with a plan and idea about how these characters work, I'm wasting my time with a peice of text that was made only to exist. Ai seems to be repetitive. I think it sees billions things and makes something new kind of like what it saw. I dont trust it to write a character well, and I dont trust it to add to the story.

Ignoring the fact that I like him and want him to get a skin, I was trying to draw all of Hullabaloo in their closing night outfits and I couldn't because he doesn't have one. On one hand, yippee skippee yahoo i get to design a murro costume, on the other hand I wish he was just been included in the first place.
