SYNOPSIS

Magdalene knows all too well about how difficult it is to survive in the wild, and the uncertainty of what awaits after death looms over her like a dark shadow.

She finds hope when she stumbles across Pure Heart Adoption Center, a home to dogs who follow a religion called the Friends of Man. The dogs preach of unlimited shelter, food, and water that come only to those who dedicate their lives to human masters.

Their teachings of eternal life keep drawing Magdalene back to visit, but there’s a catch- she’s a wild animal. The Friends of Man tell her that if she wants to be adopted and therefore spared from damnation, she must leave the woods and her family behind forever.

Stuck with a paw in both worlds, tensions rise as each side begs Magdalene to abandon the other. She is faced with a choice- give up her life to be a human’s pet, or stay in the woods at the cost of a hellish afterlife she’s not even sure exists?

Short term hiatus announcement - Wild Thing will return in June!

I’m taking a short hiatus on Wild Thing for a couple months! I’ve got other things I need to focus my attention on at the moment, and meeting the usual monthly quota would be another thing on my very full plate, so Wild Thing will return in June at the latest if not a little earlier.

The reason being is that I’m in the process of moving to a new city! Lots of work to be done in preparation. I was working two jobs and now am just working one, so I have to focus more of my time on working for some side income to keep myself busy in the meantime before my move. My job actually temporarily closed down for some reason and I don't know why, so uhh... my commissions and shop are open? (in all seriousness, I will be ok and I'm not gonna be in any sort of real trouble or anything).

I’ll share some sneak peeks from chapter 6 periodically in the mean time as I’ve already started work on it! :) I’ll still be working on pages during hiatus, so maybe expect some biweekly releases by the time I’m back? We’ll see!

Small Patreon & Ko-Fi Update

I'm currently in the middle of crossposting a looot of content onto Patreon and Ko-Fi, it's gonna take me a bit. I do care a lot about making them both something worth subscribing to (suggestions are appreciated) so I'll announce any updates when I can! Just wanted to write again what I have planned-

What will be available for free members:

All content that is currently public on other platforms (inc. art, photography. speedpaints [sped-up], etc.)

What will be available for paid members:

Exclusive content not available on other platforms (inc. art, speedpaints [not sped-up], sketchbook, WIPs)

Addendum-

Crossposting to Patreon has actually been pretty time-consuming, so I've decided I won't be doing the same for Ko-Fi actually. Subscriptions for exclusive content will be on Patreon only. Ko-Fi will still have a $1 tip jar subscription as well as a shop.

I'm nearly finished crossposting everything onto Patreon, and I added the $1 and $10 tiers to Patreon respectively. I've decided on making short stories and prose exclusive (those are part of what comes with the $10 tier), but they will also be available for purchase by anyone (they won't cost much, each will be a $3-10 download at most).

Now that I'm almost officially finished setting everything up, I'll be making proper "announcement" posts soon for Patreon and Ko-Fi, with more organized details on what is offered in each tier!

Next update by end of month!

The next page will be out by the end of the month! or should I say end of the year? ;) No exact date settled yet, but before 2026 for sure. At the rate I'm currently updating, it's looking like I'll have at least one page out by the end of each month if not a little earlier (the reason I was able to update weekly before is because I had finished most of those pages months beforehand, haha). I do want to get to a point eventually where I can maybe post 2-3 pages per month and not just 1! Stay tuned!

I illustrated a children’s book! (The Nutty Squirrel)

I'm excited to announce that a children's book I illustrated, The Nutty Squirrel, is now available!

It is about a greedy (or in this case "nutty") squirrel named Tommy who hoards acorns away from all the other squirrels, pushing away anyone he could've been friends with. That all changes when one day, his new neighbor Emily moves in.

The book is available both in print and as an ebook on Kindle Direct Press! Out just in time for the holiday season, I hope this can make a good gift for families! Reblogs appreciated!

Wild Thing returns Thursday, Oct. 2!

Part 1 of chapter 4 will be out on Thursday! I apologize again for the delay- the pages themselves don’t take that long to make, life has just been very busy (but it’s a good busy!) Hopefully once I’ve got some other projects out of the way, I can return to updating more frequently. In the meantime, the pages are out now for early access on my Patreon as always!
