I wish I could help Johnny Depp.

Not for clout. Not for money or fame or whatever bullshit. I want to help him because he needs to know that he has people in his corner that work directly with survivors of domestic violence. I would do my best to help him find himself and help him grow. I have male clients. I work with them on a weekly basis. I wish it werent such a fucking taboo to help male survivors. Ive been counseling survivors for a few years now, and while we can't put men in our shelter, we still shelter them in a safe, undisclosed location, we help them get TPOs, and we give them counseling.

This very public case isn't helping male survivors at all. It's reinforcing the bullshit "Im a woman, I cant possibly be guilty of xyz"

what if life isn't about finding out who you are meant to be or What is the purpose of life? What if we've been going all about life the wrong way? That infact lifes about finding out your deepest desires and living in the moment. Maybe the human race is so broken and angry because it focuses on finding a purpose,be the best and trying to make some universal standard of acceptance. But why when one indivduals desire will be completly diferent to anothers. One's appetite for happiness,fulfilment and wholeness will vary through out each individual. So maybe instead of being so wrapped up in this modern world of social media and flashy material iteams. Instead of seeing others and feeling envy all because we've allowed our own brains to become our greatest enemy. Due to it being conditioned by a society and it's tools that thinks it has the right to set what's acceptable even when it comes to our own bodies. We should focus more on the little joys of life, be it a simple drink you love, a walk through natures beautiful scenery,being with a loved one, receiveing the simpliest joyful news or be it finding joy in simply being yourself. Make sure grab on to those simple moments and enjoy them to the fullest. Enjoy as you feel that warm tingle full and spread through your body cause nothing else matters in that moment alone. After all what is the point of life if it's not to enjoy it to it's fullest. After all we do only get one chance at life.
