You’re the only thing in the world I care about, I couldn’t bear for anything to happen to you.” and Gabrielle is like “Xena I could never leave you. My world revolves around you and I’m completely devoted to you forever. I’m staying by your side.” And then Xena does a bunch of backflips and immediately kills the bad guy by kicking him in the crotch

Well, it took me showing to my mom a compilation of the XWP cast and crew confirming Xenagab and made her watch Destiny and The Quest for her to finally admit that these two at least had something going on.

I totally think X approached G to talk art and love (two things I am sure X never thought she'd actively approach someone to talk about. lol). I am also curious what exactly was G doing when she disappears into her room and then reappears. Like what was her thought process that ended with "yes, an affair with the empress is exactly what I'd like thank you very much" 😆

I am leaning more and more toward Empress Xena subverting etiquette and approaching Gabrielle and I’m thankful for y’all’s consensus!
