I personally don't really like the "crazy feral starts forest fires" hc for botw link. of course he can be weird and a little unhinged as a treat but like. this guy is a homeowner. he got landscaping done in his yard. he has a desk that he does paperwork at. what.

it just kinda annoys me that people turn being "feral" into his whole personally when it's like. the only reason they really think that is because that's how THEY played the game, not because of how he's actually portrayed IN the game. don't get me wrong you're absolutely allowed to have your hcs and do silly stuff with the character but it's just a little annoying when that's all he's reduced to

None of you understand like as link discovers more and more of the world and he cooks new meals and rides horses and solves puzzles and finds new places and watches sunsets and chases dragons and he finds all the beauty and hope in the world thats still left and growing despite the world ending 100 years ago. And all of these people are so welcoming and nice but as you play and link regains more and more memories about zelda it becomes increasingly clear that he still has to do his duty and he can never truly belong to any place he finds and he keeps finding places other people call home but it's never HIS home and even after he helps build tarrey town its a place he is welcome but its not one where he can ever stay because he was fated to fight even though that was never what he truly wanted and all along the table in his house in hateno village is still set for fucking two and man. MAN. It just makes me go batshit fucking insane
