My feed is going to be more eclectic for now. I’ll probably still make/reblog fandom content, but I’m going to go ahead and indulge in other stuff too. Mainly witchy content.

Next up someone is going to claim that the Narnia series isn't kids books.
Kids books is probably not the best way to word it, you can enjoy them at every age, including your childhood, as you get older you may find new truths in them, but they're still good for any age.
been stewing on an analytical approach to fiction which I call "is this book afraid of me?" and in order to answer this question you determine how hard the book is trying to make sure you don't come after the writer on twitter

Please keep making art. Please make it for yourself. Please don’t let everything become even more of the same flat general appeal nonsense that doesn’t seem to have anything to say
You never know what color pallette someone's Tumblr is till ppl are screenshotting posts and tags

Oh wow.
Some people on tumblr are reading ancient scrolls and you'd never know
I like to imagine Deku’s blackwhip is physically incapable of hurting Bakugou. Like if he were to have a freak out moment like when the quirk first awakened and Bkg was around the quirk would fully avoid and go around him even while it’s lashing out mindlessly. I’m just rocking off of how in tune blackwhip is with Dk’s emotions and how it only ever goes ballistic in the canon when Bkg is involved and hurt in some way.
To whoever needs to hear this...
You do not need visualization skills to do energy work, perform magick, be a witch, or anything in between.
Rituals, spirit work, spells, divination, and so on have been practiced through so many other means than just visualization since practically the dawn of humanity. There are four other mundane and psychic senses than just eyesight and clairvoyance that you can utilize.
Raise and direct your energy via movement, your breath, and music. Meditate through automatic writing/drawing, or focus on how energy feels in different locations. Hone your intuition by asking for and noticing observable signs or listening to the voices of spirits and discerning them from your own inner voice.
Visualization is just one of many tools you can potentially use. Not have to.
Robert Bruce’s system helped me! I read part of his book “New Energy Ways”. I didn’t even read the whole thing. I’ve only done the exercises in the beginning, but for me they were enough to get me started and continue developing tactile imagination.
His methods are focused on feeling the energy and using your energetic body. I wouldn’t say I’m good at it yet but it’s much more effective than trying to visualize.
If my mom sees a significant amount of blood she gets lightheaded, and has fainted on some occasions. Once it happened when we were kids, I wasn't there to witness it but I heard the story from my dad. Basically my brothers, around 7 or 8 at the time, were playing outside while my mom was making their lunch, and she accidentally cut her finger. It wasn't anything serious, but it drew a fair bit of blood and she passed out. My dad saw this and rushed over, but he didn't really know what to do so he just sort of started slapping her to wake her up (not recommended, but he had no idea and panicked)
At that exact moment my brothers both came in from playing, and all they saw was our mom unconscious on the floor and our dad slapping her. So, like, without even saying a word to each other they both just INSTANTLY start whaling on him, like, full blown attack mode to defend our mom. Which obviously didn't help the situation, but she did wake up and everything was fine.
Now our dad says that he's actually really glad they attacked him over what they thought was going on, because it means he raised good boys. And I still think that's true, they're very good boys.
Same guys btw. So they did turn out good yeah
me as a teenager: man it sucks to have no privacy or autonomy but i guess its for a good reason. when i turn 18 i will realise how young i was and understand why they did all that.
me as an adult: teenagers are an oppressed class, their abuse is normalised and systemic and they need to start killing people
It’s really horrifying watching the world political stage forget (ignore) about the genocide in Gaza
And as individuals our options are limited. Raise awareness, but at some point the algorithm suppresses you. Send money, at least what you can but the economy is bullying all of us right now. Those who have the privilege of time and money can do even more activism, such as attempting to go over there or meet with politicians.
But short of Superman stepping in to save Gaza, like wtf are we supposed to do? And we have to protect our own energy as well, and by that I mean don’t strip yourself dry if it keeps you from sustained support and advocacy.
It’s just really sad and exhausting
I think that magical practices grounded in the body, such as tracking your hormonal cycle with the moon, is great. Truly. After millennia of patriarchy we need practices that exalt the feminine. 100%
I just want more research, scientific and spiritual, on how us trans folks can experience something similar. I know that transwomen on hrt end up having a cycle similar to ciswomen. How can they work with that? And what are us transmen supposed to do? Are we supposed to track what our natal hormonal cycles are doing? Or is there something different for working with testosterone cycles? (Which is typically 24hr rather than 28-30 days)
I understand why there’s not much on this, of course. Between politics and history, that’s clear and I’m not expecting tradition to provide something it couldn’t. But I am calling on the community for us to explore this topic and share what we find.
I know I will be.
if your animal is lying on the floor, furniture etc, it’s important to take a picture of them. then, if they move or shift in any way, it’s important to take another picture. with this technique, you can take many pictures of your animal
