Leave a message. When you have the opportunity, brighten somebody’s day. Whether you know them or not.
Reflection. Maybe...if we could all just realize that we (all genders & races) were sent here from the same God with some assigned purpose. And that we all have our personal battles to fight. Maybe we would be a little more tolerant of each other.
You live life forward and understand it backwards.
And just like that, summer of 2016 is over. It was warm. It was fun. Are not some of your life’s best memories made in the summertime? While summer is my favorite season, it is this time of the year I feel doubly blessed - enjoying the best of both worlds of summer and fall. Leaves starting to change color, but still experiencing the lushness of nature. The splash of fall color from hardy mums, but still able to savor the final days of summer’s flashy flowers. THE best time of they year to indulge summer’s labor of love - the harvest. Tomatoes to make into sauce, Kale to sneak into every dish, peppers to roast and the upcoming squashes. Take it all in now. Before the color vanishes.
Womanhood. It’s been over 7 years now. The corners are tattered, the white discolored from the sun. But never a day goes by that I don’t look at this sonogram and be thankful for the blessing of fertility. I didn’t always have it. I laughed at the doctor who told my young, naive self that fertility is a blessing. I thought it was a right. A right of womanhood. But after fighting five years to become pregnant...I can attest that it is a blessing. It hurts to see some women take it for granted. Or not realize that it is truly a gift from God. Every child is. So whether you are in the midst of TTC or in the process of adoption, know that it is God’s plan to have this handmade gift of his share a life with you.
