Hi all.  I’m really sad to say this, but I’m going to be leaving the game.  I’ve been here so long that it feels really crappy to leave and I’m going to miss you guys and this place a lot.  Unfortunately, I no longer feel welcome in this RP due to the way I was treated.  I want to be clear, I’m not leaving because we’re getting rid of slavery from the game.  What upset me was the way it was handled, sprung on us with no consideration for how it would feel to be told that many of the stories we were writing were suddenly too awful, shouldn’t be written about anywhere, and certainly weren’t welcome here.  More than that, any attempts to talk about it with Ally were met with disdain and sometimes hostility.  It was made clear to me that if I felt hurt about the way I was treated, it was my own fault and there was nothing anyone could have done to change it.  The whole thing could have been handled a thousand different ways, but it wasn’t, so instead I’m left feeling very hurt.  I’m really sad to leave all of you and I hope things get resolved for the rest of you without being treated the way I was treated.  I just wanted to be honest about what was going on, why I’ve been absent and why I’m leaving.
