The most egregious proof of Bryke's obsession with hating Zutara is completely erasing Zuko's scar he got protecting Katara from Azula's lightning in the finale.

I am so sure that they wanted to give the fandom some fanservice by keeping Zuko shirtless half the movie (which, fan served btw lmao) but they couldn't STAND the idea of the biggest Zutara moment reminder being visible the whole time so they just illogically removed it.

Aang keeps his Azula momento, but Zuko loses his…… hmm……

LIKE OKAY… Aang was healed with spirit water too, and Zuko wasn't, just making this more illogical

NOTICE: I HAVE NOT WATCHED THE MOVIE

So I have a small theory. As we remember Azula shot Aang in the Avatar state. And this power doesn't awaken until the spot is hit again fighting Ozai. But this didn't just damage him physically...it also did it spiritually, hence it hasn't healed yet. (I always thought the scar on his arrow was showing his spiritual side never fully healed.)

Zuko was hit by Azula's lightning as well but there is a difference. Zuko redirected the lightning into his body. Internally he probably took more damage than externally. His organs probably were worse off

Not to mention Katara is an amazing healer. So I'm not surprised. Now your probably wondering if she's such a great healer while does Aang have his scar still.

Well to quote lord of the rings.

"That wound will never fully heal. He will carry it the rest of his life."

It's to show Aang is still not truly healed and in truth he never fully was. It's his fear, his shame and his mistake. One he can't forget or forgive. It a physically representative to the audience for trauma. Aangs trauma.
