I am a teacher and painter, I teach art and history.

There's a knock at William's door, and when opened Henry stands there - squinting in the sun

"Henry!!" *William beamed, he was standing in front of a massive oil painting, his face and hands were smudged with paint.*

*The painting was of a beautiful, blonde woman.*

"My latest work ... her name's Elsie ... she's my fiancée, the person, not the ... the painting ..."

*William cleaned off his brush with the rag over his shoulder.*

My my...that is..you should be proud of yourself that is a beautiful painting. And I do give my congratulations, it seems you are quite happy..!

And oil paints, the most difficult art medium to master if I do say so...of course correct me if I am wrong I do not...dapple in the arts as you may know

You are ... you are correct, yes ... the paints take forever to dry, which is great for consistent blending, but a damned nuisance for laying on more colors." *William stifled a laugh.*

I never have known this place to be so...vibrant

*William paused at the door, his hand poised to knock. Did Harry even want to see him? Was he avoiding him on purpose? The thoughts swirled as William's knuckles met the hard wood.*

"Henry? It's William ... you know ... your younger brother ..."

*William paused again, trying to think of a reason for his visit,*

"I, uhm, I haven't heard from you in awhile, I just wanted to make sure you're okay ..."

Jekyll freezes in place for a moment, clearing the chemicals and scattered pages aside, looking worriedly at Lumine.

Come in.

He waits until William comes in, keeping a soft smile fixed on his face.

*William looks over at Lumine then back at Jekyll,*

"I do hope I am not imposing, but if you insist..."

*William entered the room. William didn't seem put off by the messy state of the room, he was used to Henry's messes, he had grown up with them. What he hadn't expected was the presence of a guest, it made him feel that he shouldn't be here, that he was imposing into his older brother's business and that he should've written ahead of time to alert Henry of his visit, but if there was one thing he shared with Henry, it was anxiety.*

Ever the part of the caring but absent older brother, Jekyll tilts his head in confusion

It's late, Will... why are you still up?

Not that I mind your...visit but still.

Suddenly his expression morphs into one of panic, and abject horror

You didn't run into anyone... dangerous on the way here did you? He purposely avoids mentioning his counterpart - unsure if William knows.

*William shook his head, he stifled a small chuckle*

"I'm a grown man, Harry, I am able to stay out late!"

*William's smile faded slightly as he read the look on Henry's face.*

"No, no I haven't ... though I don't think you should be calling young Mr. Hyde dangerous, he seems to just be a boy ..."

*William had met Hyde, he was unaware of the exact relation the young man had to his brother but he was never one to judge Henry's choice in friends.*

A small, nervous laugh barks out of Jekyll, throat raspy as he clears it.

Ah yes I...Just... avoid any interactions with Mr Hyde alone, yes? Don't want you to...end up in any situations you would regret.

He turns back toward his desk, scooting some rather incriminating papers underneath a stack of books

"I will do my best, Harry."

*William smiled softly as he let his eyes wonder around the room until they landed on a small, crumpled piece of paper with a child's drawing on it. William of course recognized it immediately; he had drawn it for Henry when he was a boy. He reached out a hand, tracing the crudely drawn figures of what was supposed to be the two brothers.*

"Goodness, it's been so long since I've seen this!!" *William laughed as he held up the drawing,* "I honestly can't believe you even kept it this long!"

His voice is quiet, watching Will intently

It means a lot to me. Honestly, I would have put it in a frame much sooner but lately I haven't had much energy to go to the Market to purchase a frame. I should do that tomorrow.

"I could go with you, if you'd like, it's been far too long since I've gotten any quality time with you," *William smiled as he set the drawing down,* "A lot has happened in my life ... a lot of good, and I wish to tell you about it."

Jekyll hesitates for a moment, seemingly worried but his face clears up in a matter of seconds, his wonky smile returning

Of course, my dear brother...I would be most honoured..!

"Wonderful!! I shall see you tomorrow, then!"

*William smiles widely, absolutly thrilled about spending the day with his older brother tomorrow. He started towards the door, but stopped suddenly to turned around and hugged Henry.* "Good night, Harry, please do not stay up too terribly late after I leave."

I miss my wife ... I miss her a lot ...
