Tommy and Grace.
Immortal Invisible
Alright people, I've finally gotten it up: part one of my fanfiction titled Immortal Invisible. I just couldn't accept not seeing Tommy's immediate grief over Grace's death, so pretty soon after I watched Peaky Blinders for the first time, I just wrote down ideas I had of scenes, totally for my own interest. But the more I wrote, the more I thought I should turn them into a proper story so others could read too, so here we are. There will be three parts in total, and let me tell you, it is dark and raw.
Here's the intro:
The sound of blackbirds woke him that first morning, singing outside her bedroom window. Short sweet songs that he had heard every day when he'd woken up from sleeping in the grass outside as a child.
At home, he'd awaken to the sounds of screaming, the crash of furniture, but in the pasture he’d hear the sounds of nature, of peace, of life just like any animal. Polly always said that blackbirds were a sign of death, but his mother said they signalled change.
Perhaps they were both right.
Since France, he'd never heard them, the noise of picks and shovels thundering in his ears instead. But then, in her room, he could hear the songbirds' melody resounding in his ears and he listened like any rich fob at the opera.
Children in nice homes read stories about heroes in fairytales, and he'd never read them, but he had wondered as a child if this was what it would be like to wake up in a storybook.
When she left for America, he'd hear them sometimes from his bedroom, his office or walking down the street and he'd shut his eyes, hum a song, try to drown the sound out. Because every time, it sent him back to that room where he'd awoken from a deep night's sleep with her warm limbs tangled with his.
But sometimes, he'd light a cigarette and listen. Just to remember, just to relive it for a second.
First in their apartment and then in their home in Warwickshire, the sound became music again. She’d listened to it too with a smile on her face, her warm body tangled with his, and he told her why it was his favorite way to wake up.
Morning after morning they'd awaken like that and would have for years and years.
Until one night.

And if you like my writing, you can check out my free-to-read webnovel called Super Zero on Royal Road. It has a similar gritty tone but mixed with sarcasm and humor about a girl living in a super hero world who'll never fit into a certain mold. We could always use more followers and ratings!

Hi girlieee! I miss talking to you, hope you're well! I don't rlly use tumblr anymore, whoops >w<
Hi my dear friend!!!!!! I miss talking to you too.! I’m around less; I don’t really talk to anyone anymore, just post photos of Tommy and Grace 🤣💔 I’m still rewatching Season 1, and that’s about it. And you? Have you moved on from Peaky?
Badass Couple.
Cute
They just wants Grace 💔😪
Grace hate is because Grace is remembered as too perfect. People see her as the popular cheerleader. Which is why so many attack the actress’ looks (a real person) than Lizzie’s illegal prostitution (a fictional character).
Grace: works for the law.
Lizzie: Illegal prostitute
Grace: Clearly loves her father wants to avenge him.
Lizzie: no mention of father, most likely absent
Grave: true love with Tommy
Lizzie: Transactional relationship with Tommy
Grace: Broke away and risked everything to be with Tommy.
Lizzie: Choose to be Tommy’s property for money and a house.
Many hate Grace. Graces life is so ‘perfect’ it just invites jealousy and envy. She Came from a wealthy family, clearly loved her father so much she wanted to avenge him. Was a respectable woman. Especially in season 3 all we see is Tommy and Grace so happy and over the moon for each other.
But in reality she was his intellectual equal and she IS on the right side of the law. I feel like this part falls through the cracks since Tommy is an anti-hero (despite him absolutely not being a hero!) and Grace does soon realize things are more grey especially when she sees Campbell for who he is. She ends up saving Tommy’s life and makes a deal regarding the guns. Just calling her a “snitch” reduces her completely to two dimensional character.
You and Me ❤️
thinking SS is the “you seem pretty sad for a man so in love”
i would say ‘you seem pretty miserable for a man that’s supposed to have a baby’
"You seem to have a lot of hatred for an actor, when you're supposed to be his fan".
Yikes poor Sebastian. Imagine that your own "fans" wish you the worst all the time, even wishing that your own baby would never be born. The worst fans any actor could wish they didn't have.
Not SS signing onto a tons of films this year
Now a rom com finally
that rom com unfortunately is fake, even tho the role would suit him lmao
The only romcom he’s played is the one he’s in now with Anabelly.
They're talking about his movies and you can't stop mentioning Annabelle? Creepy.
Just Tommy.
Looks like the Grace haters/Lizzie fans are bored and want to start the war again. Grace vs Lizzie.
Well let's see, first of all your opinions are not facts, they are opinions, it is not, "as I think, this is how the show was written."
The show is much more complex than "Grace shot Ira's man because of her trauma, and not to save Tommy." It was a mix of everything, she knew that the police were not going to come in to save Tommy. It was also because of her hatred of the Ira, for having murdered her father. She didn't want the Iras to kill someone she cared about again, she knew they were going to kill Tommy, so it was a mix of everything, that's why the scene after... "Now you've seen me, and you've seen me" ... They saw what the trauma did to each other, just like they protected each other. And that's why they felt understood, seen and accepted by the other.
To say that we, Tommy/Grace fans, invented that scene or interpreted it wrong, because the show is written the way you interpret it naaa, that's too much.
This is what Grace haters/Lizzie fans say:
""And in the same scene with Campbell, she says something like, "It was beast (Tom, as Campbell called him) that tried to stop me." Which further confirms that she didn't start shooting at the agents out of great and soulmatey love or noble reasons. Some might say she's just lying, she's not really going to tell her boss that she shot men because she loved Tommy, right? But:THEN WHY, WHEN THOMAS ASKED HER THIS QUESTION DIRECTLY, DID SHE ONLY MUMBLED, "I dunno:((" Why not tell him she thought that police screw him over if that was the reason? The narrative never once suggests she was protecting Tommy. Instead, it suggests the opposite. That she was willing to risk him and disregard his instructions and start a fight. Because she is a Mary Sue that bends the narrative and not a good agent.
Which are repeated when Tommy comes to Grace at the end of the first season to confront her. They say similair words to each other again: "I can tell you who I really am," only this time honestly, now that the truth about Grace's spying is revealed. And what did Tommy say after those words? That they can't be together. I don't see a problem with Grace being vindictive (even though her actions at that moment only show her as a terrible, unprofessional cop), but there is nothing romantic in that scene. And Tommy is tricked into believing her. Again.... And those people always ask others what show they were watching.""
How can they invent so much? I mean.. you cannot change so much a scene that is so well explained, not only written but also acted. I will never understand them, ever..
I also won't understand why people watch a series if they change the script so much, the scenes, I've even seen them add scenes. What's the point of doing that?
Did you see how Tommy manipulates every woman he is with?
And as you can see that with Grace it was not manipulation, but that he did what he really felt, he was vulnerable with her, and it is something that even he was surprised about himself.
The other women, he didn't really feel anything for them, other than attraction, because yes, they are all beautiful women, but he was never really vulnerable, since he pretended, when he was with them, for different reasons.
As Cillian Murphy confirmed, Tommy's only real relationship was with Grace.
Tommy is so good at pretending that that's why there are so many different interpretations:
Lizzie's Fans: Lizzie is the one for him and the only woman he loves.
May's fans: May is the one for him, and the only woman he loves.
Tatiana's fans: she is the one for him.
Jesse Eden fans: he should have married her, instead of Lizzie.
But no, the one for him and the only one he loved until the end was his Grace.
