Vince Staples' Cry Baby

Absolutely loved the album, I think a lot of the songs had clear lyrics so not much left to theorize on. There is the song Blackberry Marmalade, that I think there needs to be some thinking to understand (I still don't T-T) I also believe its his first album under no label, so I'm definitely showing all support (just streaming the songs is all I can for now) My absolute favourite song is 7 in the morning no contest. The high pitch sound in it just does things to my brain, I love the instrumental so much, the lyrics are strong and I think can imply a lot of what is currently happening (I mostly took it as if its talking about Palestine), the monotonous way Vince says his lyrics is honestly quite nice and fits the song pretty well. There is a lot to digest from the album, all topics covered are obviously more on the serious side which I like. Don't believe there are any skips in it!

Its not like his previous works, not really hiphop, I think kind of punk (sorry I'm not familiar with genre recognizing T-T), so I would recommend listening to it! Obviously his hiphop works are also fine if you wanna check any out (namely big fish theory and dark times from me ahem). Watch the livestream as well! not the whole thing if you don't wanna, there is an exclusive song only on vinyl there, it should be timestamped in the comments on yt! Overall phenomenal album!
