request -> heeyy me again haha...i have an idea about something with luke hughes...its summer in Michigan after a season.. childhood friends are back together after years, its bonfire and some drama happened maybe (weird haha but i hope you got a vision🤭)
Luke Hughes Masterlist
The red and orange hues of the bonfire is the only source of light amidst the darkness of the night sky. Country music and laughter fill your ears as you cook another marshmallow to perfection for your smore. You lean back in the cushioned chair, watching as the flames cover your mallow. “Hey,” an arm falls over your shoulders, “I’m Jacob. I’m friends with Alex.” You give him a confused look. Why is this random frat boy-looking man sitting next to you and why does he have his arm around you? You just nod and say nothing, looking back to the fire and focusing back on burning your marshmallow to a perfect brown.
His left arm finds its way back across your shoulder while his right arm stretches forward and grabs your hand that is currently holding your marshmallow roasting stick. “Let me help you with that.” His mouth is suddenly right next to your ear, his hot breath blows across your neck which makes you shiver in disgust. “Thanks but no thanks. Now can you please remove your arms and go bother someone else?” He laughs cockily and scoots even closer to you, nibbling on your ear lobe before whispering “You know you like it?”
You snap and elbow him in the gut, raising your voice to say “I said no!” as you stand up, dropping your marshmallow and your plate of fixings. Heads turn in your direction causing a red blush to appear on your face. Jacob the Jackass’s face turns red in anger, his brows furrow and his fists clench as you voice your rejection. Luke, who has been carefully observing the whole situation from across the fire, stands up and makes his way to you. He lightly touches your arm, something he has done since you were kids to check on you and make sure you’re okay.
“Is everything okay?” Luke asks you with a soft tone that he only uses with you. “No! That bitch-” Luke spins around and steps up to Jacob, making sure that you are an arm length behind him and shielded from Jacob’s beady eyes. “I wasn’t talking to you asshole and don’t fucking call her that!” Luke’s soft tone disappeared the moment he faced Jacob. Jack and Quinn quickly set down their drinks and scurry over to Luke’s side, they each grab one of Luke’s arms, holding him back from doing something he would regret.
“Luke, you need to calm down.” Quinn, the voice of reason, pipes up. Luke just scoffs and shrugs his brother's hands off of him, taking a step back to come check on you again. He rests his hand on your waist, so lightly you can hardly feel his touch. “C’mon, let’s go upstairs and away from this douche.” You let a smile rest onto your face as you slip your hand into Luke’s, missing the way a blush rises onto his cheeks. Luke nods and leads you away from Jacob and the bonfire and up to the second floor of the lake house where your room for the summer is.
You and Luke enter your room, memories from your younger years instantly take over, memories of you and Luke. Pictures of the two of you fill the room from ages 5 to now. “Don’t you miss the old summers? When we would stay out on the boat all night? God, those summers seemed to last forever.” You and Luke sit on the edge of the bed, hands still interlocked. “Yeah,” you sigh happily, “those are the days I think about whenever I want to smile.” You turn your head to look at Luke and his hazel eyes and brown curls. His hand comes up to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear, eventually resting on your cheek.
“Kiss me.”
Luke doesn’t hesitate, he leans in and kisses you like he has been wanting to for years (and unbeknownst to you he has). Your lips interlock in a kiss with so much love and affection that your toes curl. Your hands find their way to Luke’s hair, pulling it in every direction as your kiss becomes more heated. “Hey-” Jack barges in the room and stops abruptly once he notices your interlocked lips. Luke pulls back (barely) and points to the door. “Out.” He dives back in and starts kissing you again, only completely relaxing when he hears Jack leave the room.
In the next few years your room at the lake house will fill with even more pictures of you and Luke, but these are special. There will be pictures of your engagement, your wedding day and eventually your children. But your favorite picture that sits in that room is the one Jack took when he came into the room, the night when you and Luke first got together.
Hey guys!! This is my new fanfiction ‘drop dead’ which is about Macklin Celebrini and my original character Majorie Blake Crosby. If you’re interested it is published on Wattpad under the username willmackshipper!
The black leather seats in Quinn’s Porsche stick to your thighs thanks to the rising Minnesota heat, the sun shines through the window to rest on your face as you look at the blurry buildings passing by. You briefly pass by a billboard that promotes you and your new movie, which you had finished filming around 6 months ago. The music that is playing in the car is drowned out by the conversation between your sister and her boyfriend of two years, Quinn Hughes. You and your sister had flown to Minnesota together to come watch Quinn and Wild take on the Stanley Cup Playoffs, making this your 5th trip from Vancouver to Minnesota this season.
Each trip was for different ‘milestones’ in Quinn’s Minnesotan career. His first game with his new team, the first time he played the Canucks, the last game right before the Olympic break (which you then flew to Milan after) and finally, the last game of the regular season. Thankfully, Quinn was traded while you are not currently filming any movies which allowed you to take this time off with your sister to travel to his games. Now Minnesota welcomes you for a fifth time but this time the weather is warmer, the sun is shiner and that Playoff buzz fills the air. Quinn’s first home playoff game is tomorrow night which means tonight will be a team get together. This time, much to Quinn’s dismay, the get-together will be held in his brand new apartment.
Quinn pulls into the complex parking lot and gets out to open the door for both you and your sister before grabbing your bags and following after the two of you as you head up to the apartment. Quinn’s new apartment already has a cozy feel to it (thanks to your sister’s decorations) but the countertop is full of snacks and drinks for the upcoming party. Amidst all the party chaos you can see the houseplants you sent to Quinn as a home warming gift, the picture frames that hold photos of his family, your sister, and one of the three of you at the Grammy’s. Each photo brings a smile to your face, happy that your sister finally has someone that is so in love with her.
Quinn helps you and your sister unpack quickly, setting your stuff in your designated rooms: your sister’s stuff in Quinn’s bedroom and your stuff in the guest bedroom. When the clock finally hits 7, the first knock on the door sounds through the house. Slowly, people start filling in one by one, Quinn’s teammates mill around the house while their significant others stand in groups talking about their WAG jackets. You stand and talk with your sister for a while before separating and walking to stand with some of the other girls. “Hey girl! Oh my gosh, it’s so great to see you!” Brock’s girlfriend is the first to notice you, giving you a hug and a kiss on the cheek which draws the attention of the other WAGs.
You converse with them about your upcoming movie and how they are jealous over the fact you got to play the love interest of Michael B. Jordan. “God you’re so lucky, that man is sex on a stick. Just thinking about him makes me hot.” Lauren Hartman fans herself as she talks which draws the laughs out of the group of girls. “Geez Lo, go hose yourself off. You’re dripping all over Quinn’s floors.” Everybody falls into a fit of laughter causing you to all lean on one another for support. “I’ll go grab you a drink to help cool you off.” You say to Lauren, still giggling from the comments that were said earlier. She nods to you in thanks as you squeeze by her and start walking towards the kitchen. You wave at your sister who is perched on Quinn’s lap talking to Danielle Spurgeon as you pass through the living room and go into the kitchen.
You walk and pour Lauren and yourself a drink while also grabbing a few snacks to help refill some of the snack bowls. You spin around and come face to face with Matt Boldy, one of Quinn’s teammates, who smiles at you while giving you a small little wave. “Matt!” You exclaim. “How are you? How’s Vivian? Now that I think about it I haven’t seen her around.” Matt’s smile dims slightly, “We broke up. Around, uh, a month or so ago.” Your smile pulls down into a frown as you set down your drinks and snacks so you can pull Matt into a hug. You wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him down and holding him against you. He freezes for a small second before wrapping his arms around the small of your back. He lets out a big breath once he is securely in your arms, his body is warm and hard against your own.
You pull back after a few seconds and take a step back in order to give Matt some space. “I’m so sorry Matt, I know you really liked her. Is there anything I can do?” Matt sends a small smile your way as he responds to you. “Thank you but you being here is enough. Though I am kinda surprised Quinn or your sister didn’t mention anything.” You nod your head a little as he talks, “Yeah, but those two are so invested in one another they hardly notice their surroundings.” Matt laughs before offering to help you carry the drinks and snacks back to the living room. After that the night continues with a peaceful ease, Matt sticking a little closer to you than he ever had before.

The summer sun reflects off the cool lake water and onto your darkening skin. Michigan in the summer never ceases to amaze you, the beautiful weather and overall atmosphere adds to the warmth you feel at the Hughes’s lake house. The water laps softly underneath you, the pool floatie you’re laying on floats around the dock but never strays far thanks to the rope that ties you to the pier. Your sister lounges on a chair on the pier, humming along to the music that plays quietly through the speaker, her dark, brown hair is tied in a bun atop her head. “Girls!” A voice cuts through the peaceful air. You and your sister sit up and look over at Quinn who is standing in the grass. “The boys are here if you want to say ‘hi’.”
Your sister yells “We’ll be there in a second” to Quinn as she gets out of the chair and pulls you back to the dock. After getting out of the floatie, you and your sister walk back to the house and are welcomed by the sight of the majority of the Wild. Matt is standing amongst them, you notice. His light brown hair is styled perfectly despite the light breeze outside, his shirt is half unbuttoned and you can see his toned chest and the top of his hard abs. Even though the room is full of people, attractive people, all you can focus on is Matt. Little do you know, Matt is having the same problem.
Throughout the weeks that Matt has stayed at the lake house you find yourself shifting to be near him and when you can’t find him, you seek him out. Matt is one of the only guys you know that was invited by the Hughes’s, he’s one of the only guys you feel comfortable around. Matt basks in your attention, like a puppy when it gets pets. He practically follows you around like one too. He fetches you cold water whenever you’re outside in the lake, he gets you popcorn when you have movie nights, he lends you his sweatshirts when you get cold during nighttime boat rides.
One morning you find yourself sitting outside, sipping a warm drink as you watch the sunrise over the water. Your sister slides the door open and sits in the chair next to you, both of you sit quietly and listen to the chirping birds and lapping waves. “Are you sleeping with Matt?” You choke on your drink, coughing and sputtering out a little “What?” in response. She just shrugs nonchalantly, “I’ve just noticed that you too have been spending a lot of time together this summer. Plus he’s been acting really sweet with you, almost like you’re already dating.” You shake your head no, “Matt just had a serious breakup there’s no way we would be hooking-up, let alone dating.” Your sister just makes hum noise, clearly not believing you. Okay so Matt may have been doing some things not even your ex boyfriends have done for you like helping you make breakfast in the morning, or how he's always your go-to partner in pool, or how he knows what drink you like, or how he always saves you a chair at the table.
It’s been nice having Matt around. He's become someone who you have looked forward to seeing and talking to everyday. Honestly, he has become one of your close friends in the past few weeks, someone you find yourself confiding in and feeling safe and secure when you’re around. You wonder if this is something that you’ll miss when you’re back in Vancouver and he’s back in Minnesota or if this summer will become a faint memory.
────────── ❤︎ ──────────
It’s October now, the Minnesota air is turning cool, the leaves are falling onto the ground. The boxes that fill your new penthouse are still mostly packed because you haven’t found the motivation to unpack them yet. After summer ended and your sister moved from Vancouver to Minnesota to live with Quinn, you realized that you hated being in Vancouver alone. Your best friend is gone and because of the industry you work in you don’t have many other friends. So one day you called your sister and told her how you have just bought an apartment in downtown Minnesota and you would need help moving in throughout the coming weeks.
Right now you stand in the kitchen with your sister, sipping on mimosas and snacking on some homemade hash browns. You’re both watching Quinn and Matt put together your furniture. At first it was just Quinn who was setting it up but after he had a hushed conversation with your sister, Matt suddenly turned up at your apartment. He claimed he was ‘in the area’ but you know his apartment is 30 minutes in the other direction.
“Hey Quinn don’t we have to go let the dog out?” You give your sister a confused look while Quinn voices his confusion by saying “Hun, we don’t have a dog.” She gives Quinn a stern look to which he visibly pales and hurriedly stands up to grab his keys and coat. They both hurry out of the apartment, your sister throwing a wink over her shoulder as she leaves, which just leaves you and Matt alone in the apartment. You turn back to face him, finding out he is already looking at you causing you to fall into a fit of giggles.
You set your drink down and slowly walk over to Matt, still getting over the laughs. “So Matt,” he focuses all attention on you, “do you know any good restaurants around here?” His eyebrows shoot up in surprise but he quickly recovers and stands up, towering over you. “I think I know a few places.” He says with a smirk. You grab his hand and start leading him towards your new bedroom, “How ‘bout I give you a house tour first?” Matt’s face breaks out in a huge smile as he lunges forward, wrapping you in his arms, spinning you around and carrying you towards your room. “Yes please!”
Reader is an actress (or she could just be normal, up to u) and her older sister is dating Quinn (i picture her as a brunette, but then again i just think there should be more diversity than just white and blonde in WAGs lol). Reader frequents Minne a lot because she loves hockey and going to the games, and her and her sister love spending time together.
After about a year of her sister and Quinn dating, and her several short stays, she had gotten to know the inner circle well enough (Bolds, Fabes, Kirill, etc. and their WAGs). She’s there close to the end of the season, and closer friends are over at the sister and Quinn’s house having a little get together. She noticed a WAG missing but didn’t think much of it until she asked Boldy in passing where she was. She finds out they’ve been broken up for a couple months. She was a little shocked because they’d been together for like 6 years, but he seemed alright enough that she figured it was amicable. He was a little surprised Quinn or her sister hadn’t mentioned it to her, but the night went on after that.
a couple weeks later, reader goes to summer in Michigan at the lake house with her sister and the Hughes’. Per usual, there were various hockey players there as well, but when she arrives she notices Matt got an invite too.
She finds herself near him often, not because she’s actively seeking him out, but more because he’s one of the hockey players there that she actually knows. About half way through the summer, her sister (as meddling older sisters do) asks her about it, things like “you two have been close” or “are you hooking up?”. Reader is like oh my god no, he just had a serious break up, like absolutely not.
It does make her think though, about her interactions with Matt so far in the summer. Like, he helps her make breakfast in the morning, he’s now hee go to partner in pool, he knows what drink she likes, he always saves her a chair. She wonders if she’ll miss that when they all go back to their cities after summer.
When summer turns to fall she decides that she’s going to make the move to Minnesota, tired of the back and forth and wanting to be closer to her sister. Then somehow her and boldy end up together.
Anyway, this was just an idea, and you have total free rein to do whatever with this! i love your writing so i’d enjoy anything you put out!!
request -> Could you do something with Will Smith where he's secretly dating the reader and then his family finds out at like a game or something? Or really just anything Will Smith!
Will Smith Masterlist
Bill, Colleen and Grace Smith sit in plush, black seats at the SAP Center, in front of them is the white and teal ice with the giant San Jose Sharks logo smack dab in the middle. Family and friends of the other players sit around them, each person watching their loved one skate around on the ice, warming up for their game. Behind the Smith family is the WAG section, each wife, girlfriend and finance is chatting and laughing with one another as they await the start of the game. Colleen and Grace are turned towards each other, drinks in their hands, as they talk about the past few days they’ve spent in San Jose. Bill, Will’s dad, sits on his phone scrolling through Facebook and half-listening to the chatter that fills the air around him.
Usually when Bill is on his phone everything around him gets tuned out, but this time something pulls him out of his social media induced trance. The wives that sit behind him are talking about a girl, one that Bill has never heard of, and usually Bill could care less about useless gossip, but the second he hears his son's name he becomes all ears. “Have you heard anything from Y/N yet? Will’s girlfriend?” Bill spins around in his seat, facing the two gossiping wives, his eyes are wide as he asks “Will? As in my son William Charles Patrick Smith?”
The girls look at him in shock, clearly surprised that someone overheard their “hushed” conversation. They share a quick, almost worried look with each other, their faces saying what their mouths won’t. Fuck. The commotion brings the attention of Grace and Colleen, both of their heads turning to look at Bill as he asks the WAGs about Will. “What’s going on?” Colleen asks her husband, sharing a confused glance with Grace. “You…you didn’t know?,” they start, “They’ve been dating for the past couple of months.”
Each Smith family member sits stunned and frozen, their big blue eyes are wide, their mouths agape. They slowly turn aware from the girls, facing back towards the ice, looking at the completely oblivious blonde skating circles around the ice. Grace slowly turns to Colleen and Bill, quietly asking them “Did you know?” Colleen and Bill only shake their heads, their shocked state stopping them from saying any more. They sit in silence for a few minutes, each of them watching Will skate with Mack, going through his normal warmup routine before skating off and walking down the tunnel.
Their stunned silence is broken by a rise of voices behind them, alerting them to the arrival of another WAG. The Smith family turns to look at the group of girls, an unfamiliar one stands in the center of the room wearing a Will Smith jersey. “Y/N!” One of the girls shouts, rushing over to wrap the girl in a hug. Grace looks at her mom, leaning in to whisper “Is that her?” Colleen just shrugs in response, still overwhelmed with the new discovery of her son’s potential girlfriend that he has never mentioned. Grace looks back over at her brother's so-called girlfriend, catching her eye almost immediately.
You smile shyly, excusing yourself from the gaggle of girls and make your way to wear the 3 most important people in Will’s life sit (aside from Macklin of course). You walk down the steps to go to your normal seat which happens to be right next to Grace. You make your way to your seat, drinks and snacks in your hand, a small smile rests on your face as you pass the Smith family. After you sit and put all your stuff down you turn towards Grace, Colleen and Bill with a warm smile on your face. You put your hand out while you introduce yourself, “Hi, I’m Y/N! Will has told me so much about you! I can’t believe that I finally get to meet you guys, this is so exciting!”
The Smiths stare at you dumbfounded. They don’t know what to say or even what to think, they stare at you in total silence causing your smile to slowly fade and your hand to slowly drop. This is definitely not how you expected this meeting to go. Colleen finally finds her voice and takes the bull by the horns as she admits to you that they don’t know who you are. Your frown deepens, a nervous pit blooms in your stomach as your cheeks turn a light shade of red. “Will has never mentioned me?” Your voice is meek. Your hands pick at a loose string on the sleeve of one of Will’s jerseys. “We’ve been dating for a couple months now, I don’t understand why he hasn’t said anything.”
As if he can hear you, Will comes running out of the tunnel and straight onto the ice, skating a few laps before settling on the line and looking up to the family section. He waves his hand, a large, beautiful smile rests upon his face when he notices you in the crowd. His eyes shift over to your left where his family sits, his eyes widen in shock when he registers what is happening. You tear your eyes away from Will and look back at his family, silently asking them “He didn’t know you’d be here, did he?” They only shake their heads in response. “It was supposed to be a surprise." Grace says. “Well this certainly is a surprise.” You laugh.
Grace soon joins you, laughing with you as you process the situation going on. Colleen eventually joins in on the laughing session, muttering a quick ‘Goddammit Will’ under her breath. Bill even cracks a smile. Once you, Grace and Colleen catch your breaths, you turn to face them once again, sticking out your hand once again you say “Let’s start over. Hi, I’m Y/N.” Grace takes your hand in hers, gives it a shake and introduces herself, which is then followed by Colleen and Bill introducing themselves. At the end of your introductions the pregame ceremonies start effectively ending the conversation.
By the end of the game you have gotten to know the Smiths so well that Grace is practically your new best friend and Colleen and Bill are now like your second set of parents. You have never met a family and gotten along with them so quickly before. You and the Smiths make your way down to the family lounge, laughing and talking the whole way there. Once you reach the lounge you take quick notice of Will standing there, still in his entire uniform, skates and all. He rushes towards you once he sees you and wraps you in a hug, placing a kiss on your cheek, his sweat-soaked hair brushes against you.
“I’m so sorry,” he starts, “I wasn’t trying to hide the relationship, I just wanted to wait until the right time to tell them.” You stare into his ocean blue eyes, trying to see if there was any deception swimming around in there, but you only see sincerity. You let out the breath you didn’t know you were holding as you grab his hand and turn around and face his family.
“Well uh, mom, dad, Grace, this is my girlfriend, Y/N.” Colleen looks at Will with a deadpanned expression, “Yeah Will we found that out two hours ago through some of the wives. Even though her words hold a bite she says it in a joking manner, her eyes light with amusement. “Next time tell us sooner so we don’t have to find out through someone else, okay?” Will looks softly over at, his features softening as his gaze trails over your face. “Don’t worry dad, there won’t be a next time, Y/Ns the one for me.”

The night sky is dark, it matches the endless road that stretches out in front of you. William sits silently beside you, staring out the window like he’s in a dramatic movie. Your entwined hands rest in his lap, his thumb occasionally brushes your hand every now and then. The car ride is smooth and quiet, aside from the soft music playing in the background, some Swedish rap song that William put on your playlist. The road is long and dark before you, an occasional street lamp lights up a few feet of the road before it slowly turns dark again.
Williams' leg bounces up and down, up and down, up and down. He’s clearly still filled with adrenaline after San Jose’s 1-0 win over the Chicago Blackhawks. You are still feeling the effects from the game as well, your hands are shaking and sweaty, your heart is beating rapidly, and now that you think about it you’re starting to feel dizzy. Your hands bump against the wheel as the shaking steadily increases which draws Williams attention from the window to you. His brows furrow as he takes in your state. He starts a mental checklist in his head; shaking, sweating, and the way you keep screwing your eyes shut makes him think that you’re dizzy. Oh no, he thinks, she has low sugar!
“Sötnos, dra omkull bilen.” William says urgently. You look at him confused, “Will, honey, I only know a few words in Swedish and they’re not those.” William sighs, “Dra omkull bilen.” He makes some motion with his hand, one that doesn’t make any sense. “What?” You question, glancing between him and the road. He runs his hands through his blond curls, a stressed look on his face, his eyes hold a kind of worry that makes you incredibly nervous.
“Dra över. Dra över! Vad är ordet för att dra över på engelska?” Your hands continue to shake and your head is still spinning slightly. “Will…I don’t feel good.” William's light blue eyes soften as he looks at you, his hand squeezes yours, stilling the shaking for only a second, allowing his brain to rest and finally remember those simple words that evaded him. “The car, Sötnos, pull the car over.” You nod shakily, turning on your turn signal and pulling the wheel in the direction of the shoulder of the road.
William turns on the hazard lights and turns to face you, gently telling you “Sötnos, you’re shaking.” You nod a little bit but shrug off his concern, “It’s just the adrenaline from the game. I’m okay.” William sighs and looks down, his blond curls fall atop his forehead when he shakes his head. “You’re low. Your blood sugar is low, you need a snack. Where are your fruit snacks?” Even though William is asking you where your snacks are, he is already reaching in the backseat and grabbing your bag, reaching inside and pulling out your bag of fruit snacks. He puts them in your shaky, sweaty palms, whispering, begging you to eat them.
Only when you finish the whole bag is when William finally lets out the breath he was holding.
request -> can i request a part 2 to the matt boldy fic where maybe they go on a date after the home game?
Miscellaneous Masterlist - part one -
The Grand Casino Arena is loud, cheers fill the building, loud, deafening music plays in the background. Across the Jumbotron the words “Wild Win!” are flashing across along with a big 5-2 under it. The Boston Bruins sulked off the ice, skating back towards the locker room the second the buzzer sounded. The Wild though, they stayed. They raise their sticks to the crowd, a thank you to the fans, as they skate around the discarded hats that were thrown on the ice. You stand with the rest of the family, smiles adorn all your faces, each family member clapping and cheering, happy to see their significant other’s success. As the Wild finally start making their way off the ice you look at Matt, butterflies erupt in your stomach when you notice he is already looking at you.
As Matt stands on the ice, surrounded by the hats fans threw in response to his hatty, he can’t help but look at you. Everything in the arena tries to distract him but he has tunnel vision when it comes to you. Especially when you’re wearing the jersey he dropped off at your door this morning. Matt nods his head towards the locker room, a silent question. Will you be down there when I’m done?Your answer is immediate, an automatic head nod. Matt smiles as he skates off the ice, ignoring the jeering of the rest of the team and Quinn’s skeptical eyes on him.
As you make your way down to the locker room, Matt changes and showers in a record time, excited to finally talk to you after only being able to look at you throughout the game. He gives his media availability to someone else, briefly explaining that he has something important to do. He walks into the family room and instantly spots you standing and talking to Quinn. He nods in passing at the other family members that fill the room, his only focus is on getting to you. He claps Quinn on the back as he takes his place next to him, casting him a quick glance before settling his gaze on you. Your hair is styled perfectly, a gorgeous smile sits on your face, and of course that cherry on top is the number 12 Boldy jersey that rests upon your body.
“Hey I was wondering if you wanted to go to a movie, maybe get some snacks? I’m starved.” You smile as you look at Matt, his soft brown hair is still wet from the shower as it falls over his face. You go to answer him but Quinn beats you to it, “Yeah Bolds that sounds great! Where were you thinking?” You snort as Matt gives Quinn a confused look, “Uh…Q?” Quinn looks at Matt, realization falling over his features, his mouth drops open as he looks between the two of you. He nods silently to himself before walking away, shouting “See you at home.” over his shoulder. You and Matt fall into a pit of giggles before Matt offers you his hand, ready to take you to out.
────────── ❤︎ ──────────
Matt pulls into a parking lot with a few other cars and a giant white screen set up across from you. He puts the car in park before turning it off completely, comfortable silence fills the car until Matt decides to speak. “It’s a drive-in movie. I didn’t want to take you to an ordinary dinner because, well, you deserve more than the bare minimum.” Blood rushes to your cheeks making them have a rosy hue. You look down, unable to meet Matt’s eyes after his sweet comment. Matt lets out a light chuckle in response to your reaction, he reaches over and grabs your hand, bringing it over to his lap, giving the back of your hand a quick kiss before placing your intertwined hands in his lap.
The movie screen lights up in front of you showing an old film from the 60s. As the beginning credits begin to play Matt reaches into the back of the car, still holding onto your hand, and grabs a bag full of little snacks, candy, and a small cooler that holds what you assume to be drinks. Matt hands you the bag, allowing you to look through it and grab the snacks that you want. As you look through the bag you notice that every single snack and treat in there are your favorite foods. You give Matt a quick sideways glance to which he smiles in response, giving your hand another quick kiss. “Only the best for you.” He mutters.
After grabbing your snacks and drinks you sit back into the seat, half focusing on the movie and half focusing on the Matt’s thumb that is rubbing circles on your hand. As the movie progresses, Matt rests his arm around your shoulder, rubbing the back of your neck and shoulder with his hand. You and Matt sit together, you curled up in his arms, as much as you can with the arm rest between you. You shift your eyes away from the movie and turn to Matt, looking at his sharp jawline and the way his hair falls over his face. His soft eyes look ahead at the movie, not looking away until he feels your hand come up and rest on his jaw. You push lightly on his jaw, making him look at you before slowly leaning in and presses a quick, soft kiss to his plump, pink lips.
You pull back slightly, his nose brushes yours as you look him in the eye and ask him a silent question. Is this okay? His only response is to press his lips back to yours, kissing you deeply and thoroughly, kissing you like a man starved, kissing you like he’ll never be able to kiss you again. You pull back from the kiss finally allowing air to return to your lungs. “I’ve never been more thankful that Quinn got traded to Minnesota.” You say. Matt whispers, “Totally agree,” before bringing his lips to yours again.
