As for the human running this circus, hi! My name is Casey. I love animals a lot if you couldn't already guess! You may already know me from my main blog, @mothusband. I decided it was finally time to make a petblr!
More details about my pets under the cut
I got Willow and Aspen as young rabbits off Craigslist on May 18, 2024, originally being told they were girls. However, as they were under the age of 10 weeks, their testes hadn't shown yet. Yep, in November of 2024 I found out I have two boys!
I got Stella off Craigslist on January 14th, 2025. The previous owner got another chinchilla and attempted to bond it with her, but the bond failed and they ended up not being able to keep her. I've always wanted one and I ended up seeing the ad at the right time, so now she's mine!
Snowflake was a gift from a lady my mom worked for. I loved the movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua growing up and wanted a chihuahua just like Chloe desparately. The lady my mom worked for knew a breeder and gave her to me as a puppy in December of 2013.
I got Nebula from a pet store on July 19th, 2025. I had wanted a betta ever since I was 15, and I finally had the space to get one, so I just went for it!
As for the cats, they showed up in September 2025. We can't have them inside due to my rabbits, but we feed and water them and bought them a cathouse that they sleep in! (Please do not shame me for them being outside cats. They stalk the rabbits every time they come in, we can only have them in with heavy supervision. They are neutered, vaccinated, and treated for fleas and ticks on schedule.)
as long as it’s this hot outside, the kitties get to be indoors. tiger is getting much better about not stalking the rabbits, but if he sees stella move, he goes full hunting instinct and i have to put him back outside :( cinder on the other hand is pretty chill about the other pets, he doesn’t have as much of a prey drive so he likes to just come inside and sleep for a while lol.
just did a hermit crab count because i haven't seen much movement the past couple days. looks like two of them have gone down to molt! i'm really hoping they'll survive it, as i know doing it this early on is a stress response to their trip home and the new environment. by the time i knew about setting up a de-stressing tank (cant remember the proper name lol) with a small amount of substrate so they cant molt, i already had my tank set up and nowhere to put back 30lbs of sand and eco-earth, so i'm just hoping for the best right now. we'll see in a month or two if they re-surface!
