Most of my nights have been dreamless. I never cared much before, but now when I go to sleep, I hope that I’ll see you. I awake the next morning hoping that this crooked reality we’re existing in right now is somehow just another nightmare. I always find out that I’m almost right. This is a nightmare indeed. The only difference is that this isn’t something we can wake up from.

If I told you that you ruined us, I’d be lying. If I told you that I ruined us, I’d be lying, but I’d probably find some way to convince myself of that. The mind is amazing in that way. There’s so much power in a thought, so much power in words. I can’t speak mine out loud, so I’ll write them for you. I’ll spill this ink for you. Please forgive me if I don’t make sense. It’s hard to make sense when you don’t have the proper materials. You’re missing and there’s no replacement for such a gem. Please forgive me, I’m sadder than usual. Please forgive me, these tears, I can’t seem to stop them. Please forgive my heart, it doesn’t seem to know how to beat normally these days. In reality? We’ve been torn apart. In my head? In my heart? You’re still here. You’re still with me. There’s probably a part of you that blames yourself. Like many times before, this time isn’t your fault either. You’re far too bright to cause the darkness you think you have. You've called yourself the sun. Tonight, you’re my only star. We don’t see those in the sky above us, but that’s okay, your light is more than enough for me. I haven’t forgotten the laughter, I haven’t forgotten the smiles. I haven’t forgotten your heart. I wish I knew whether or not the future holds us. I wish I knew what happens next. I don’t have the answers, but one thing I know for sure is that you’ll always have me.

Hey guys, Lyric here! I turned one month old yesterday ✌🏻️ I can't believe it's gone so fast. I love to drink mommas Magic milk 🍼 listen to daddy make music 🎶 play with my Mickey Mouse and dress up as my favorite Star Wars characters ⭐️ I can now track things with my eyes 👁 turn towards noise and I kick butt at tummy time 💪🏻 Also I will smile sometimes even when I'm not farting 😀 I love my momma and daddy very much and we are going to my one month well baby check tomorrow! I have to go now. I'm on an urgent mission to find Obi-Wan Kenobi. If you see him please tell him I am frantically searching for him for "he is my only hope"

Lyric was one week old yesterday so daddy dressed her up like the very hungry caterpillar and I think she's the cutest one to date 🐛 Lyric has been an absolute gem and blessing in our lives 💕 We have been soaking in all this time together and I never want it to end 🌞 Lyric sleeps like a champion, which helps momma and daddy get enough sleep 💤 Momma is recovering from her cesarean nicely. She got her staples removed two days ago and the incision is pretty clean. The three of us try to go on a walk at least once a day to get some sunshine and some exercise for me.
