cftcharra:
“Oh I don’t know, I seem to be pretty good at getting myself in trouble either way. Maybe you should be worried.” T’Charra says with a grin, though he hopes she doesn’t take him too seriously. Not that he’s not telling the truth of course, T’Charra has a knack for getting himself into trouble, but he doesn’t want Peggy to be scared off by that of course. She’s bound to find out eventually, but.. right now, he wants to spend as much time with her as he can. He takes a few generous sips of his drink, glad to see he’s nearly finished with it, before answering her question. “Of course not, only the real special ones.” He says with another wink, absolutely aware that he’s getting a little ridiculous but he doesn’t really have the sense or sobriety to really care. Will he regret it later? Maybe. Right now? He’s not thinking all that much about it, just enjoying his time with her. “Well English isn’t my first language so that definitely counts as one. And I need to say - English is a really weird language.” He chuckles and shrugs a shoulder. “They’re all human though, you’re right. Not a lot of chance to learn alien languages when you’re stuck on Earth but I’ll get there eventually.” He grins and nods his head. “She definitely is. She’s - the head of her field, so she’s pretty amazing. I’m lucky I get to learn from her. Tech is definitely my favourite, but she’s been teaching me all kinds of things.”
“you make it sound like you don’t need me around,” she speaks with a shrug beginning to pull away from him just slightly. “maybe i should leave,” she doesn’t stray that far. mags had always had a habit of choosing the course that would cause her the most trouble between picking fights with people or having the wrong friends. she was however hoping that t’charra wasn’t about to fall into the same category. though right now she didn’t think she’d care either way. so long as tonight was fun, she didn’t want to think as far away as the next morning. “mhmm,” she replied with a giggle unsure how much she believed him in that moment. just because of the way he flirted with her she could tell that he was probably the type to do this often. not that she couldn’t claim the same about of herself. “guess i really have fooled you then huh,” she comments taking a few more sips of her drink. “oh it is, and that’s before you take into account accents and dialects,” she nods. if she was honest mags would admit she’s more than a little bit of a nerd when it came to linguistics. it was why she didn’t mine learning so many. “i’ll teach you some if you want... if you can put up with me for so long,” she jokes. “she sounds incredible honestly,” mags takes the last sip of her drink then before taking the bold move to reach for the other’s hand. “you done?”
