also the fact that eddie brought chris to keep buck company while they took care of the house. yes it's about trusting christopher and letting him be in the loop for the difficult moments but it's also about eddie showing buck that even when he doesn't feel like himself, even when he doesn't trust himself, eddie will always trust him to be around christopher. there's nothing buck would do that could stop eddie from letting christopher see him, especially when he needs to be comforted.

your sister? eddie? was genuinely crazy work like. multiple times now they have intentionally placed eddie in the position of Spouse. they keep doing it. and it mirrors maddie in a way. in that when she's been struggling or in danger it's always been. her brother or chimney (her Spouse). those are the two people you expect. and chimney is saying out loud that for buck the two people you expect are his sister or eddie (his Spouse!!!) and this coupled with the fact that in the montage the way eddie was there was framed differently to everyone else. familial but different from everyone else. because he's his Spouse. like. HELLO?????????
