GOTTA. GADO. GADO. A coincidental trip to Wirra Wirra on the same day as some lovely lady friends meant a great opportunity for a long table lunch together. Warm weather perfection was this Gado Gado peanut satay Indonesian salad. Forget the usual thick, peanut heavy glug. Light with coconut milk, fresh with herbs from the onsite kitchen garden (Thai Basil, Vietnamese Mint & more) made this one tasty bite. Entitled “McLaren Vale’s Grenache Greats” attendees were hosted by Sarah Ahmed (@thewinedetective ) and introduced to the crème de la crème of McLaren Vale Grenache.
