Jessica Pisano Fine Art
Inspired by the natural beauty of her hometown of Martha’s Vineyard, Jessica Pisano’s interest in art started at a young age. She pursued her passion for the arts at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, graduating in 1999 with a BFA in painting and photography. Pisano participated in a year abroad program to study fine art at the Lorenzo de Medici School in Florence, Italy. In 2002, she earned an MA in Arts Administration from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
As an artist, I have always been inspired by nature — it is my muse. Birds and trees are the main characters in my paintings. I am both interested and intrigued by the comparison and contrast of these subjects, as well as their individual symbolism (…)

Paper Works by Andreas Kocks
German artist, Andreas Kocks (born 1960) works in massive and meticulously crafted installations of cut paper. Working solely with paper and a limited color palette, Kocks’ forms seek to evoke and balance elements of four artistic genres: the linearity of drawing, the painterly brushstroke, the site-specific element of architecture, and the physicality of sculpture. He lives and works in New York City and Munich and his works can be seen in museums and private collections in Europe and America.

Hundreds of Japanese Firework Illustrations Now Available for Free Download
I recorded myself reading the book I ordered that came in today - well timed, God…. cause I’ve had a pretty ridiculous day and it’s not even over yet.
I bought for my manager who has a short temper and a twisted sense of humor (his birthday is this month).
Anyways, it’s not for young ears, but if you feel like you’re gonna explode because you’ve had a shitty day, listen to this, or buy the book. It’s called F*ck That, An Honest Meditation - by Jason Headly.

Fictional Architecture
As special effects budgets continue to grow, the architectural wonders that TV, film and video game producers create seem to get more and more impressive.
From the castles of Westeros to the imaginative, colorful designs of Studio Ghibli, they compiled some of the most iconic and interesting architectural feats that they feel best represent six of their favorite fictional universes. In order to capture the finer details and the feel of each building, they’ve illustrated each one with a pen and paper – and they are pretty happy with the results!

this is cool but why is it shot like the intro credits of a crime drama
…Dessert, but shot like Murder. I think I’ve found my favorite aesthetic ever.
Someone make a show out of this concept. It’s a show where each episode, a murder is committed. But, what’s actually shown is a dessert being made. Based on analogies in the dessert-making process, viewers must figure out who killed who, and how.
