The Winning Try has awakened the drama watcher in me. It's been so long since I found a drama I avoid sleep for and here I am reminding myself I have actual things to do tomorrow and can't stay up all night watching a rugby drama.

I am loving the dynamic between the players. I am loving the way the coach tries to hard to keep up a carefree front but can show his vulnerability to the principal. I'm loving the way he's fighting for the players to get the chance he lost.

I only watched 4 episodes and I'm already thinking about when I can watch the rest

When the phone rings is an amazing drama and I loved every second of it.

It's so weird that's it's only 11 episodes, but I won't hold it against them

Il Young is so irritating.

First, he decides them sleeping together was a mistake, then she's clear about her feelings and tells him how she hurt him, then he decides he wants her and she should accept him. Then, she's VERY clear about her feelings and how she doesn't want to see him, then he keeps showing up to her house uninvited and hanging out with her parents.

Pregnancy aside (I still hate the pregnancy) she's been incredibly clear. That means don't come around, don't give her parents unreasonable gifts, and don't act like you can make her like you.

Nothing about this is cute!

And why are her parents rooting for this guy when they know perfectly well that her daughter doesn't like him?

And now they're pissing me off with this pregnancy. I really wanted them to sort out their mess and be an amazing second couple but they're not going to convince me that a baby is the way to do that

So you mean to tell me that after an entire 13 episodes of Sin Dae Ryuk being incredibly traumatized by his childhood, to the point where he can't make physical contact with anyone or even recognize expressions in people's faces, we're supposed to be consoled by this bullshit episode about how his mom had to chain him around his neck in the house to keep him safe? Someone explain to me how someone thought this was a good idea.

Also how is it that they only realize he has psychological issues months after they met the guy and dove deep into his mind via his webtoon? Were they not paying attention? CLEARLY he has issues that a licensed professional needs to investigate and treat. It's not even close to a secret.

Also also, I really hate when dramas will have a childhood abuse plotline and then it's all solved by their parent showing back up at some point and then everyone encourages a reunion and then they reunite and all is well. It really treats the viewer like an idiot and parental abuse like some small bump in the road.

I love workplace dramas, but the die hard devotion they have for these jobs really never ceases to amuse me

It's hilarious how they think putting Park Min Young in glasses and a plain blouse makes us think she's any less gorgeous 😂

These are dramas that make me reflect on myself

Mr Ko should have been more clear about the love filled blood situation. Lives hang in the balance and he decides to skimp on details?? If he really felt guilty he would've made a PowerPoint with graphics and clearly laid out steps for them to reference at anytime.

As much as I really love this drama, whenever the employees talk about their passion and dedication for the hotel as though they aren't just there for a check, I have to laugh

I rewatch Mr Queen episodes every so often because it's one of my favorite 19 episode dramas and each time I get more and more confused by Hwa Jin.

Like, even if he was your boyfriend first, he married someone else. And it's not like he goes looking for the queen all the time, but they just wind up together a lot because of her murderous, power hungry family. And when the queen is looking for more concubines, Hwa Jin gets all butt hurt about it as though she isn't also a concubine. Also, her entire relationship with the king is based on a lie. Girl, we are in a political war where everyone is worried about literally dying and you wanna whine because your boyfriend talks to his wife here and there??

I know she shapes up by the end, but it's a long journey, and I get so tired of her bullshit.

King the Land is such a breath of sweet, beautiful, fresh, romance air

How is keeping the older sister locked away and hidden in the secret room behind the house a good long term solution? How hasn't she lost her mind after being back there for years? And what is the plan? Does she stay there, with no one to talk to except the same 3 people and nothing to do except make those accessories, until she actually dies?

I can't really explain why I'm still watching Kokdu at this point. I can't say that I like it and I'm also not curious about what will happen.

I'm definitely not against dropping dramas or skipping around but every once in a while there's a drama that makes me feel like I have to get through to the end. This is one of them

I'm really enjoying this drama but the serial killer subplot is a bit much for me. This drama does an excellent job showing the pressure kids feel to succeed in school and how that affects their health, the way parents continue their mean girl games into adulthood with each other and other people's kids, and the ways social pressure forces everyone to pretend to be the perfect version of whichever role they hold.

We see stay at home moms, working moms, single moms, doing what they think is best for their child while simultaneously ruining their child's mental health or messing with other children's chances for success.

The mean girl mom club is the best part of the show because we have multiple grown adults who spend all their time gossiping about their kids classmates and scheming to get their kids extra tutoring meanwhile their kids are MISERABLE. They don't see it because they're so stuck in their roles playing perfect moms. From the moment I saw them in the coffee shop I wondered what these moms are going to do when their kids grow up and live independently. If their lives are centered around planning extra classes to get into college, what happens after that? Will they follow the kids to college? Have more kids and the cycle begins all over again?

In the kids themselves, we see different types of students. The kid who studies a lot because she genuinely likes it and wants to improve, the kid who doesn't take studying that seriously but does it to impress a girl, the kid who studies a lot because his mom tells him to, and the kid who seems to be in the midst of a mental breakdown because of how she's internalized the pressure from her mom.

And a beautiful story about a single mom and a math teacher who somehow meet and fall in love in the middle of all this mess.

With ALL this material, why must we have a serial killer? Why? Let's focus on the interpersonal drama, the lack of awareness for students' mental health, the reason middle aged women spend their free time playing with kids lives. Please there's so much to be told here I'm tired of the little metal balls!
