So what I'm pretty sure grian has is *something* (eg pumpkin) that has the texture of BOTH a non enchanted netherite helmet and his cool eyes.
He has then enchanted that eg pumpkin and so swapping between a regular enchanted netherite helmet and his helmet+eyes gives the effect without anything noticeable being put on his head
also I went into Minecraft and checked, yep enchantment glint carries over no matter what headgear you switch to (linked here cause tumblr doesn't like videos in reblogs)
in his next vid hes gonna do it without the helmet and screw this all over

can I just say that I love how multi-talented tf!Scott is? How many different roles and needed figures he imitates in order to continue being useful and important?
Scott is a protector, a tank on the front lines, the one to tell others to run and hope that they get away while he deals with the threat.
Scott is a teacher, a tutor who sees other students and offers his help. He is the one who discovers new rituals, and takes really in detail notes, and takes other students under his wing.
Scott is a father, to an orphaned dragon named Aurora. He owes it to her mother, after all, to raise and love her daughter as much as she would have.
He is a mayor's son, a future leader. His voice is quiet but firm, calm and logical. He knows to put his emotions and personal feelings and relationships aside in order to get justice and truth.
He's a childhood friend, a star-crossed soulmate, an ally and unchanging light in his friend's lives, despite the things they do.

As of June 7 2026 Avidmc and Marma1ade have quit content creation.
Also as of June 7 2026, creators from the Minecraft server Skyblock Kingdoms (sbk) have come forward about “irrevocable damage [Avidmc and Marma1ade] have caused to SBK and its friends” (quote from Sbk statement on twitter) and have removed them from the server.

Firstly, Vo’lete is really cool, and while - at least as far as I’m aware - we never get a full grammar and dictionary it does a really good job of balancing being a realistic Conlang while also being similar enough to English to be believably deciphered by the characters in the story. Not everything is a 1-to-1 translation but sentence structure is pretty English-like.
Vo’lete is also a really interesting example of a dead language or a dying language. Especially once we get into season 3 and it’s just gone.
In s1 & s2 the Vo’lete we find is scant and typically not anything particularly standout also most of it comes without any kind of translation. The only reason we know so much about the Epic of Gilgamesh is because it was a writing exercise, most texts are not inherently important and rarely are people writing bilingually.
Other than that, we have one native speaker Luce/Alerion. Luce is a fascinating example of how languages interact. While at first it might seem silly how he seems to perfectly understand English (/whatever the common language of fable is) but not be able to speak it at all, it’s actually a pretty good (if a bit heightened) example of a real thing that happens in language communication. Just think of any time you’ve been in a language class and you’ve understood what’s being said to you in the foreign language but not been able to reply back - that’s basically Luce.
If this was a real world setting these facts would suggest an isolated minority language that is being introduced to English. The speakers of Vo’lete understand English but don’t use it. This introduction has probably been happening for a while given Luce’s familiarity with English. Also Vo’lete is written in the same script as English which could suggest it didn’t have a writing system before the introduction to English (like so many indigenous languages across the world).
If we pair that with the lack of other Vo’lete speakers we might see a language in decline, a minority language that is being disfavoured for English the language of the majority.
Then we get to season 3 and suddenly there is no more Vo’lete. This feels sudden and is not entirely realistic because previous documents in Vo’lete are now in English but the sudden loss of language does happen.
There are numerous examples from history where we have documents of X language for years and years and then suddenly X language just doesn’t show up anymore. Maybe the speaker group was wiped out by invasion or disease, maybe they were taken over by another group and that groups language became the only one allowed to be written. Often times we will never know. But, it does happen that suddenly a language stops being used and historians and historical linguists are left confused as to where the language went.
So, Vo’lete from a linguistic anthropology lens appears to be a minority language in decline with a dwindling speaker base that - by the time of season 3 - has been entirely lost.
Rae’s reaction to losing all of the Vo’lete notes is so validating as a linguist. It’s not just a loss of information but a loss of history, culture, a way of seeing the world.
I've been thinking a lot about this language again, and honestly building it was such a little side passion project of mine that I put so much thought into when translating. It actually started as a demon realm language for a character from Grand Theft Auto roleplay that I took to a few text roleplay sessions. It never saw enough play in my opinion, maybe a few sentences, so I brought it into Fable, a way for me to expand this language, share it, and have it run its full course.
