I know people are going to be calling tf! Scott overly emotional for getting upset at Pyro and Ambear for lying to him about May, but like... yeah, that's the point. He's said that he'll basically never go against his friends' plans even if he disagrees with them because he doesn't want them to stop hanging out with him. He puts himself in danger constantly because he would rather be injured, kill, and die as long as it makes him useful to others. He was adopted into a tiny isolated town where biological bloodlines are literally magic. He's a man closeted at 23 (in a safe environment where he can care for himself) who doesn't come out because he's scared of being rejected. Yeah, he is a bit sensitive to being rejected.
