MY EDITING APPS : FILM EDITION

If you have seen my posts almost all of them have a certain vibe. I always like to experiment on different filters on different apps. The most app I use for my pictures and videos are Prequel. It has been so helpful! It brings out the fun side of the drinks and beverages I am experimenting. Here are some tips from me incase anybody wants to try it. I usually use filters when the light is not perfect to pump it up. Photos made during epic light are much better than those made under lesser light with filters attempting to compensate. When the light is bad I try to salvage things with filters. For a newly person that learns how to use the camera and filters, this app has helped me alot.

I have decided to put up Top 3 of my favorite filter from the Film Category so that you can try it too. This filter is really helpful for those that do not know the idea of film camera but wants to create the same effect as the film camera , well you do not need to buy the film camera because here it is already available and it is free!

You can download the application on https://prequel.app/ or go to your play store or appstore.

There you can see a ‘filter’ bar on the right and that is where you will find different types of filters. My favorite would be in the Film category. Here are some of I am going to show as an example. The above picture is the original picture, raw and unedited.

This image is using the filter called ‘Dust’ I like using this filter for photos that already has so much going on that needs just a little bit of filter. Here I am using the already set, presets in Number 1. It made my photo more delicate and warm. It also gave it a bit of glass effect, like when you try to look something from a glass window. This filter fits with anything, if you want to play safe with your image.

The filter from the ‘film’ category is the Sixties. This filter is if you want to create a 60′s vibe picture. We have seen alot of sixties’s photos are vibrant and the colours are really bold and striking, I think this filter really brings out that vibe. Just like a 60′s commercial poster. Just like this Audrey Hepburn poster. The colours and highlights used are mostly yellow and blue. A light striking ones. This filter also provides an option to have the film border or not, which I think is so cool, With this filter too you can adjust the filter to how you would like it.

Okay, This the 3rd one I like from the film section. This is the “Super 8″ filter where it mimics the style of a real Super 8 film camera. Here you can see there are 3 frames, just like an old camera where the film is in multiples. Not only that, Super 8 has it own filter too. Looking at the border we can see, there is a line of light, this is to show that the picture is imperfect but at the same it is enough. This kind of filter suits if you are planning to make a retro video. A renaissance. This filter also uses grain, to give a soft effect and there is an option to use it or not.

Slice your avocado in small cubes and put it in a bowl, after that pour your ice cubes and lastly spread it with the Sweetened condensed milk and you are ready to enjoy your snack!

My review on the snack:

It is definitely a taste I never had before. I did not know that I can enjoy condensed milk like how I eat my cereal. The munching taste is definitely something I enjoyed. I always liked munching on ice cubes and from this i learnt that the smaller the ice cubes, the more good it is! I wished I had used that instead. This is healthy right? If it is I don’t mind eating this every afternoon. I definitely did not regret watching the recipe on tiktok. You learn alot of new things there.

AN AVOCADO SNACK!

The famous Taiwanese dessert now turn into a smoothie. There is two ways to eat this, by simply scooping the avocado into a bowl and dripping it with condensed milk and ice cubes and by making them into a smoothie. Today I am going to do the smoothie because duh, drink experiments. We will need two ingredients for this, avocado and sweetened condensed milk. So easy but so yummy. I'd rate this smoothie 6/10 because it is so easy to make and you can feel full right after drinking it.

Here are some benefits of avocados for those trying this fruit the first time!

Avocado Is Incredibly Nutritious. .

They Contain More Potassium Than Bananas.

Avocado Is Loaded With Heart-Healthy Monounsaturated Fatty Acids.

Firstly, fill your blender with ice cubes. After that you put your bananas in. You take only half of the plain yogurt and put it inside the blender, after that you put in milk along with your vitamin. Close the lid of your blender and once it is done pour it in your glass! Enjoy ❤︎

My review on this:

I never tried Banana smoothie and this is a first for me! If it is for you too, high five! What I can say is that this drink is fulfilling, when I drank it I felt like my energy has boosted and I needed just that to get me through the day. I am not really a fan of bananas, when my mom buys them I would not think that it is my go to food. After making this smoothie, I kinda feel like it is better than when you are eating the fruit, maybe because there is milk in it and it is really cold, I love cold drinks. This smoothie feels healthy and I would put my vitamins in, just so that I can get rid of the bitter taste of my vitamins. I would definitely sneak this drink into my lectures!

HAPPY SMOOTHIE

The most nutritious smoothies are made with whole foods like fruits, vegetables, yogurt, and healthy fats, while those with lots of added sugars aren't as nutrient-dense and may contribute to negative health effects over time. Smoothies high in protein and fiber may even aid weight loss by keeping you full.

You see that, it is good for you. No more blaming the taste when you have so many choices to become healthy! They always said being healthy is hard and gross. All the greens and all the bitter after-taste. Blergghh. I am here to help you, using the smoothie recipe I have made.

Ever since I was a little kid, I was told to always eat my vitamins but some vitamins does not taste good and when I was little of course I have to eat it and swallow it right away. Blerghh. Fortunately I found a way to eat my vitamins without making an ugly face! The vitamins I eat is soluble and it is easy for me to add it with yogurt! They are healthy and that is a win-win situation. So what I did was mixed it with my smoothie. Recipes are below if you guys wanna hide that bad taste hee. I made my favourite smoothie this time, the banana smoothie as I’d like to call it the happy smoothie!

MY TRIP TO JAPAN!

Here is a throwback post of my trip to Japan! A little break from the drinks. The best thing about Japan is its unique diversity. It has everything one could want, mixed into one. It's crazy, yet peaceful, it's fast – paced, but relaxed. It's just a magical city that will captivate you, and leave you enchanted. Japan has always had a reputation for its distinctive culture and unique traditions. As an island nation with a long history of isolation, many aspects of the culture developed completely unaffected by outside influences. But there are so many other reasons why Japan is the most unique country in the world.

I had the opportunity to go to Japan with my friends and it was by far my most fun trip so far. The breeze, the shops, the people and of course the food!

Outside the wakayama castle, there are various food stalls such as ice cream, skewers, and many more. However, I am not allowed to eat non-halal food so at the end, I only eat the Ice cream.

People can also take pictures infront of the castle for memory keeping.

Inside the wakayama castle, I got to learn a few of their old history on how the castle was built, why it was named wakayama and what do people usually do in the castle. Also, at the highest level of the castle, you can have a great view of the city outside the castle. That includes, an autumn tree, more higher buildings and a ferris wheel.

Here, I was shopping and gotten myself a few new shirts and pants. The place was crowded, however, the city has a great view and also has good food stalls. I am impressed at their local brand because they have their own types of style and way to decorate their store. Although it is very different to the shops in my country but I am so glad my country has more space when shopping because when I was in Japan it was always crowded and well for someone that gets anxiety in tight spaces it was not good for me. It was a good experience for me to try different atmosphere and different situations, so that I will get used to it when I travel to a bigger place.

During the evening, the wind was very cold. However, I didnt mind bc its not hot compared to my own country. I enjoyed walking from places to places despite how tiring my legs were but cold wind takes my mind off the issue. In terms of people, Japan people are really nice. Before going to Japan I heard a story where, my friend have left her bagpack on the train seat and the next same train to come took an hour and she had to wait. She was afraid her bag would have been taken but when the same train arrived, she was surprised to see her bagpack was still on the same place she left it. This shows that Japan people always liked to mind their own business and would not take anyone else’s belonging because they know the people will take it back.

My trip was so much fun, I got to taste the real sushi and I might have to add, the fish tastes different that the ones in Brunei. It was more fresh and the portion was big, and it was cheap too! Although I think I might have to get used to that taste when I go there again. Toyko is by far the cleanest city to which I have ever travelled, the largest and busiest city to which I have ever travelled. The amount of effort the people of Tokyo go to in order to ensure both sanity and sanitation is simply astounding.

If I could come back to japan, I would and the first thing I am looking forward to is the food and I wished I had more time to explore different areas and places. When I went there it was winter, maybe I will go there at a different season!

Firstly fill a cup with 1/2 hot water and the other 1/2 with cold water. Hot water will squeeze the lemon juice out. Next, you will want to put the ice cubes in the glass jar followed by the lemons. Top it off with the mint leaves. Your detox drink is done!

My review on this drink :

Umm, I feel healthier. Just kidding, I think it will alot of these drink to actually make me healthy. After making this recipe, I made a jug of this for my family, I think this is better than to drink the tap water, it can detox your body and clean your system. My family’s review on it is that they feel like theyre in a restaurant, because as a malay family we do not usually drink lemonade at home. They also said that they feel refreshed and it is a really good drink during the sunny weather.

You will put in the ice, strawberries and milk into the blender and then blend them. This is how you want it to be, if you want to blend it to make it watery or make it more thick. After that you pour the smoothie into your cup!

My review:

Did someone say Barbie? or was I going overboard with the whole set up? This drink is one of my favorite. I usually get my smoothie at a shop called “Boost” and I always wondered if I can try making it, instead of paying $6 everytime I crave for a smoothie. I tried making the strawberry smoothie and the taste is similar but what missing was the frozen yogurt. My take on this drink is that it is really yummy and there is a hint of sourness from the berries, I would definitely drink this after a long run because it can wake me up instantly and energize my body. Tell me what did you think of the drink! and what other recipes of smoothies you want me to try!

BARBIE SMOOTHIE

So simple and easy to make. You can enjoy this detox drink on your porch with everything pink and feel like you are Barbie. On another note, this video is made using a new app I found so useful called PREQUEL!

My review:

Anybody said detox? We have reached a drink where we must consider drinking, fret not I have made the drink yummy and worth drinking everyday. This drink is using lemon soda and blueberries. I have always seen this drink in movies, I always wondered, what does that taste like? rich people drink. Well I decided to try it! The soda pushes the taste of the blueberries and echance it, it also give a little bit of sparkling taste on the tongue and I like it.

BARBIE IN THE HOUSE

Everybody knows barbie, I mean when you see pink almost everyone thinks of barbie. today's recipe will be focused on colour, in this case the signature barbie colour pink. I thought of so many beverages that can make pink and yummy. I came up with 2, blueberries and strawberries. although both combo is nice i decided to experiment each of them using a healthy side and a fun SIDE

The first side is the Healthy side of Barbie or what I think barbie drinks to stay in shape. I mean the girl is 60 but still looking fabulous!

THE SET UP:

As you can see on this post, I am trying different set up to make my blog more fun, The idea of the backdrop came from the concept of Barbie herself, Pink and anything that is full of colours. I thought, this would be the perfect drink to go with!

What I did was, I took a pink scarf and a white cardboard, I laid down the scarf on a container and covered it so you cannot see the real background and i put the white cardboard behind the scarf, I lay them out carefully but at the same time I wanted to keep the scarf to be naturally placed. After that I used some final touches using some dried flowers I have kept. This is to make a really girly and elegant concept. When I took the pictures I was really happy with the outcome and i managed to create an even more nice picture using the prequel app! It really brings out the drink and make it look incredible.

MY MUSIC

Im not a DJ but I do listen to music as much as other people do. My favorite genres depends on my mood of the day but my most favorite would be chill songs that I can feel to I am not a boring person. I think. I would say my songs can be typical to other people and I do not mind because hey, if its good why not listen to it! While doing my drink experiments I would listen to them so that I would not feel like I am the only one in the room. I mean come on you're just making a drink why so serious

Although this is just some of my music lists but there are many more I listen to. I like exploring different genre of music, I try to categorize them to music I would listen to while doing work down to music I listen before I sleep. Music is just like water for me, water keeps you hydrated and well, music keeps me going, I mean it just gives me more energy to do more work. I tend to fall asleep when it is too quite and I try my best to keep my self up by listening to music more.

I always tell my friends to share with me what songs they are into. Some are similar while some might be too strong for me but I try my best to be neutral and listen to any songs. I think what you listen to tells a little bit of what you are going through, well for some.

SUNNY DRINK BUT MAKE IT SWEET!

You saw our sunny drink on our previous post and on this post its a little different! How different? this is for the people that likes sweet beverages like me. Not good guys (I won’t tell if you won’t)

This drink reminds me a holiday I never had to Monte carlo, just going to the beach and asking from my imaginary butler for a sweet drink. I think we should give this drink a nickname... any suggestions?

SUNNY DRINK

Talk about a joy drink with happy colours. Today's experiment represents the smiley face. Funfact! Did you know the creator of smiley face Harvey Ross Ball was paid just $70 for creating the smiley face and now we see people creating art with it priced more than $1000? Something interesting.

Back to my experiment today I have thought, what fruits brings out joy and striking colours so I collected few. Oranges and of course mint to give that zestttt. The recipe and instruction can be found on the next post!

I had to take the fruit plating I did and I realised I put 3 of each ingredients on the plates. Also, I edited the last picture using the VSCO app. Nothing like enjoying this refreshing drink and doing work in the hot weather!

THE SET UP:

Did this set up gave you a kind of luxury vibe or was it just me. I thought of someone that is living the lavish life when I made this drink. Someone that goes to Monte Carlo to just enjoy this drink, If you have seen the movie Rebecca you would know that this drink kind of gave that vibe. A drink that can change the way your life is. She definitely changed her life.

How I made this set up was at first, I ironed a white fabric and I took a white cardboard for the background, I lay out the white fabric and I folded it to make it less boring, I have learnt in art class, that the drapes of the fabric is able to capture the eyes of the viewer and I really liked that. I put the drink on top of the fabric and I took the picture from different angles. I really the outcome of the photo.

My tip is to take pictures using natural lighting like the sun and you will be able to capture it even more better. Time to wake up early birdies!
