humanity is such a beautiful culture that, although i am not fully human, i am grateful that i get to take part in regardless. as fearful as i am, i still feel so much fondness for humans and their traditions, their inventions, the way they find such wonder and joy in the mundane. the empathy of humans is what allows me to experience things such as cuisine, music, art, medicine and community that i would never be able to recreate as my theriform self.

it is a rare sentiment to find in therian spaces, but i don't think i could trade this life for anything. it hurts, sometimes, to not have my fur and paws, or to be unable to climb trees the way my instincts desperately long to, but if the sacrifice for that experience would be to lose the people i've grown to love so dearly over the years, including the love of my life... i don't think i could do it. you couldn't pay me.
