So this is WWW. My very own, small world within the big one. Random thoughts and impressions of daily life between Berlin, Rome and Venice. No work, no politics, no serious stuff - but quite a lot of photography. And this is apparently the place to please my inner giggling fan girl. Oh yes.

When life is not challenging enough😜: Inktober 2024!

My rules:

1. Create something every day, even if it's only 5 minutes!

2. Finish it! There's no going back for polishing!

3. All themes and techniques are allowed.

4. If I don't feel it, I don't have to post it - but I have to *do* it.

Progress of my Halloween-Entry of this year's Inktober: cute witchy black cat

Inktober 2024 #31 - yeah, done!

For the last day of Inktober and Halloween I chose a cute and a bit more elaborate design "to be inspired by". My daughter lent me her colored pencils and contributed a very witchy hat to the drawing.

My conclusions from Inktober:

- rush and pressure are not friends of my creative process

- but: regular exercise soon leads to visible technical improvement

- finishing a drawing in one sitting is hard: I prefer to let it sit and return later for a second or third round.

I chose not to follow the prompts. This left the field wide open for spontaneous inspirations or desperate grabs. But more restrictions might be a nice challenge - for next year!

Quick sketch after one of the most beautiful Madonna's by Donatello. And I'll never make fun of ugly babies in old art again: Donatello's baby Jesus is so sweet - and mine looks like a moody gremlin, argh!

Finally a sketch with ink! I used a very old "Tintenstift" by Eberhard Faber with the nice no. 666. It works like graphite but gets a beautiful rich violet hue when activated with water
